Stop At: Cheese Factory at Engelberg, Klosterhof 1, Engelberg 6390 Switzerland

You will meet your tourguide in the lobby of your hotel. Together you will make your way to the train station in Zürich. An intercity train will take you within 50 minutes to Luzern. With the "Luzern-Engelberg-Express", a local train, you will pass a lovely scenery and arrive after 40 minutes in Engelberg. A short walk of 10 minutes to the monastery will take place. At the cheesfactory, you have the chance to get more information about Switzerland's only cheese factory in a monastery. You will get an introduction on stage how the cheese will be produced. You will take a seat in the bistro, from where you have the cheese maker in sight. You will enjoy meanwhile your lunch. For sure, we recommend a "cheese fondue" or "racelette". 

After your lunch, your tourguide will lead you back to the train station in Engelberg and your journey will continue first back to Lucerne, then on another local train within 15 minutes to the industrial area of Root. Just footsteps from the trainstation, the chocolate factory "Aeschbach" will await you. Together with your tourguide you will enter the exhibition, where you will make the experience about the fine art of chocolate production. Different information points will give you an overview and on various places you can see the live production in the company. During all the exhibition you'll keep your eyes open for hidden chocaolate, that you can taste. At the end of the exhibition, your tourguide will take you to the place, where you can create your own chocolate bar. You will decorate your chocolate with different ingredients. Once, the chocolate cooled down, the tour at the chocolate factory ends and your tourguide will lead you back to Luzern. You will board the intercity train to Züirhch, where the tour will end at the train station or in your hotel.
