An excellent Tour and Susan was a brilliant guide - a great storyteller - we recommend this Tour ....
Amazing tour and our tour guide Martina was outstanding and so knowledgeable! Very personable and spoke good English.
Sandra was a great tour guide. She knew absolutely everything! She made the tour fly by with all her stories and facts.
Our guide was Susan, who is very knowledgable and passionate about the history of this wonderful city. Before starting and also during the tour she made sure that everyone was okay and was enjoying the tour. Her interaction with two young members of the tour was very good, she told the story of Venice beautifully and made our day very enjoyable. Thank you Susan! Sabina and Andi
We were pleased for this 3 hour tour with an expert art historian. In addition to sharing her extensive knowledge of the art, architecture, Venetian history and culture, our guide, Susan, maneuvered our group through the crowds of San Marco Square, the basilica and the palace with ease. This was our first visit to Venice -- greatly enhanced by this tour.
I highly recommend taking a guided tour. You skip the lines and the guide really brings these surroundings to life The ceilings alone in the palace are worth the price of admission but without explanation it would not be so amazing.
This was a wonderful introduction to two of the major highlights of Venice; St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Our tour guide (Susan) was delightful, clear, very knowledgeable, and gracious. She made a point of addressing everyone's needs, answering questions, and keeping us engaged. Use of headphones made hearing her very easy. We definitely recommend this tour.
For history buffs, this is a must in Venice. For other vacationers, it is a very informative tour. Very light on the walking and a good way to spend an afternoon.
Tour guide Monica was outstanding. She really knew her stuff, was well versed in the history of both. Also threw in a bit of humor which made the whole tour very entertaining. Doge palace is definitely a must see in Venice.
Both are definitely on the “need to visit” list in Venice. The guide was knowledgeable and added to the enjoyment of the visit.
An amazing tour, we did the tour with a guide who was excellent! Very informative and took the time to make sure we were okay!!
Susan our guide was exceptional - helpful, funny and witty, informative and very, very professional. She made and had time for everybody. A truly wonderful place made better by our guide.
Very good tour, excellent guide. We particularly enjoyed the view from the balcony of the Basilica. Note that there are a challenging number of stairs for older knees across the two sites. Well worth the price just to skip the long lines.
The tour guide in this tour was very knowledgeable. She explained the story of . Doge's palace and St. Mark's square beautifully.
Would recommend moving the tour start time back and go to the church first when it opens.Doge’s palace was less crowded and bigger. The church was packed inside. Yes, we got in quickly but hardly got to see around the inside there were so many people.
Viator: your instructions to meet our guide was terrible! Your instruction was to meet our guide at Saint Marks Square. Do you know how large this area is?? We spent 30 minutes running from one corner to the other asking random guides where we might find our guide. We did eventually find her 5 min after the start time, after we pretty much gave up all hope. The tour was fantastic, your team, were not impressed!
Using the skip the line option for the church and Doge's Palace is well worth it as the lines get very long. We enjoyed our tour and we happy to get about half an hour free time in the middle of it to explore Doge's Palace. The church is so gorgeous and this tour includes the entrance to the top balcony which has the best view of St. Mark's Square!
We had only one day to see the main sites and this tour got us fairly quickly into the 2 most visited sites. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
A great way to learn about some of the history of Venice, and see first hand how wealthy they were as a nation. Our guide, Marie - Theresa was outstanding.
First class guide with personality and knowledge of her subject made the whole experience fantastic. Would highly recommend
There was so much history to learn and absorb and Matteo is a wonderful and enthusiastic guide. We were so fortunate to have him! We highly recommend this tour. And if you can, ask for Matteo.
This was a very enjoyable tour. Our tour guide was informative and she kept a good pace. St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace were spectacular!
Venice Alessandro was very informative and attentive to all the questions. The Basilica and Doges Palace are beautiful.
This was a great way to see two of the most popular sights in Venice - the skip the line access was especially handy as the entrance lines get long very quickly. Also, our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and charismatic as well!
The tour was good, but the coordination for the meeting point wasn't that helpful. We got there, and didn't know who to look for, so we asked one of the tour guides and she told us to look for the lady with green sign... We couldn't find anyone with green sign and kept running everywhere. Finally, we had to come back and waited for a moment that we could ask since she was talking, then she said we were late.... after few phone calls and she finally took us in, but I wish she should have done that at the 1st time we talked to her.
We did this tour with our young children, ages 9 and 11, and overall we thought everything was great. Obviously, with that length of time, we had to manage the kids occasionally, but our guide (Sarah) was very attentive to the entire group and made the tour fun and engaging for all, so that this task was not overly difficult (and this was on a VERY hot day). The tour moved at a good pace and breaks were appropriately built in. Sarah's knowledge was clearly deep and, as already mentioned, she was an engaging storyteller. There was only one spot in the tour where the building and the size of the group made the radios drop in and out, so we missed some of the discussion there, but had we asked I'm sure Sarah would have waited or relayed that part again once the group was together. Overall a fun and informative experience, the three hours seemed to fly by and we all left with a much richer understanding of Venice and its history.
Our tour guide, Roberta, was extraordinary. Her English was perfect and she was very easily understandable. Most important, her knowledge of the sites was thorough and in depth. She showed the ideal balance between making the experience both entertaining and enlightening. She answered every question respectfully and completely. Nothing was rushed and she seemed completely at ease with our diverse group. I couldn't imagine a better experience than Roberta provided. She is a huge asset to your company.
This should be a 90 minute tour not 3 hours. We were so bored listening to our guide drone on. Also, small tour means 25 people which isn't small.
Even though weather was hot tour guide managed to find good place for us to rest before explaining about attractions.good choice if you have limited time in Venice and want to visit tourist attraction places.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and interesting, we were really glad that we booked this tour. The front of line passes meant there was no waiting in long queues. Would recommend this tour.
Easy to find tour group. We had 25 in our group. Headsets made it easy to hear information and stories. Guide couldn't have been nicer. One small thing - bring your own earbuds as the ones they handed out were uncomfortable.
Mateo was a good guide. We saw a lot of the important sites in Venice and he gave us a lot of information. Main complaint was the sound system. It was very crowded with lots of noise, so it was extremely important that the sound system worked properly--it did not. It kept going in and out. And, two members of our family of ten could not even keep the earbuds in their ears. Look into new equipment!!
We had a wonderful tour guide who knew so much about the history of these amazing buildings. It was very busy but she did a great job of keeping everyone together and getting us through. Definitely worth it.
Our tour guide, Elena, was outstanding! Lots of great information provided, and it was nice to skip the lines at both these historical sites among the throngs of tourists here. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide was so very passionate about Venice and its history. She kept everyone engaged for the entire 3 hours - impressive! The technology used for the headsets had minimal issues in my group.
Guide (Mateo) was knowledgeable, informative, excellent, and entertaining. Venice is nothing short of awesome - make sure you also take an mahogany river taxi, gondola, eat overlooking the Grande Canal and take a river taxi to the airport.
Nico gave a fantastically paced and detailed history of Venice through his narration of these special buildings. Like most tours, the personality and kindness of the guide are critical.
Our guide Antonella was awesome. Tour is completely worth it specially if you have a knowledgeable guide who can go over the art with so much passion. Will totally recommend it.
excellent tour affected by continual rain on the day we took it which made things hard for the tour guide and guests. Tour guide was excellent and coped very well with the difficult situation created by the crowds and the rain. My only criticism would be that at 24, the group size was too large, making it very hard for everyone to keep up in the difficult conditions.
We met where were advised no problems it was Easter Saturday so quite busy we had a small queue but no problem especially when you saw the queues without a tour. it was very interesting and amazing to see I would recommend doing this tour
We had a fabulous tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, intelligent and had a good sense of humor. The organization of the tour was terrific, and everything went according to the instructions given to us when we purchased the tickets. I highly recommend this tour.
This was a fun tour. We went early really glad we did, even on this rainy day the square was packed by noon. Tour guide was good she knew the details and kept a good pace
I would like to tell every one what an amazing tour this was . The amazing Elena I think I have that right was the most amazing and knowledgeable guide can not say how much I enjoyed this if I could give ten starts I would Genny and Sandra April 2019
Nice tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. She really brought the history of these two buildings to life. I would recommend everyone to take a tour like this.
Our Tour Guide was Andrea was the best tour guide you can possible get. His professionalism and exceptional knowledge was outstanding.
Well organized trip from start to finish Well planned at meeting point Guide “Alessandro” was really excellent Really good English. Was a joy listening to him he was so informative and he really enjoyed his work. He made everybody feel very at ease.would have no hesitation in recommending this tour
An excellent attraction with a very competent guide. Well worth braving the cold wind and rain for. Our thanks to Susan, our guide for the afternoon.
We were glad that we did this tour. They are definitely the must see's in Venice. That being said we felt the cost was a bit high for what we got. If we were to go back we would see these again but probably do on our own.
How wonderful to skip the lines for the magnificent sites of St. Mark's Basilica and the Doges Palace. Thank goodness for headsets as we could follow our guide and learn the history in this very crowded area.
Very informative. Really enjoyed the guide, he was engaging the entire time. Do wear your walking shoes!
Romy is fantastic as a tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour. Lots of art, architecture and history. Venice is wonderfully delightful!
Our tour guide was a very entertaining, thoughtful, knowledgeable guide. He adjusted his pace, showed understanding of when to take a breather and gave his presentation with humor. The sites speak for themselves. Beautiful and old.
