Private Sarnath Excursion with Evening Ganaga Aarti

The Sarnath with Evening Aarti tour will begin in the afternoon. Our driver will pick you up from your booked hotel’s lobby in Varanasi at 2.00 pm and drive you to Sarnath. It is one of the four main pilgrimage sites of Buddhists situated at a distance of 10 kms from Varanasi.

As you reach Sarnath, our guide will take you on the tour showing you the important buildings, structures related to Buddhist. It is considered sacred for this is the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Emperor Ashok later built Dhameka Stupa at that site. Next, visit Chaukhandi Stupa where Budha met his first disciples. Go through excavated artefacts and striking Ashoka Pillar at Sarnath Archeological Museum. Admire the fine paintings on walls of the monastery built in 1930s at Mulagandhakuti Vihara.

After the tour of Sarnath, you will be driven back to Varanasi to attend the grand evening Ganga Aarti at the famous Dashashwamedha Ghat.
