Rezensionen
Great tour, just be careful and read the entire post. I didnt see the part about Masada and the Dead Sea being extra, and it ended up being 110 that I wasnt planning on spending. I couldve done without Masada, but the Dead Sea was very interesting. I am so glad that I did this tour. We had Shuki as our tour guide and Muhummad was our bus driver for the first 5 days. Both of them were very good, and Shuki was very knowledgeable. I was in the country a few days before the tour started, so I wasnt able to get a free ride to Jerusalem on the first day. I took the bus between the cities for 16 shekels, around 3-4 at the time, and it dropped me off at the main bus station in Jerusalem which was right below my hotel. All of the sites we went to were even better than I expected, and the only complaint that I had was that we stopped at too many souvenir shops. I think most people wouldve been ok with 2-3 shops, but we stopped everyday, and that got a little old. If this is your first time in Israel, I think this would be a great tour to do.
We worried about getting picked up at the airport in Tel Aviv, but the driver was already waiting as we left security at the airport. We chose the 4 star hotels and were happy we did. Other folks in our tour group were in 3 star hotels and all were complaining. Do yourself a favor and go 4 star....they're not the Waldorf, but not bad for the money. The Kibbutz hotel is pretty much a pit. Built in 1948 and looks it! Tour guide, Rafi, was excellent. Knows his stuff. Problem is there is so much to see and learn that you forget half of what he described. if you're not fit, don't go on this tour! Eight days of getting up at 5:30 to eat breakfast and meet the bus at 8 am then get back to your hotel at 5:30 or 6. Exhausting! On the other hand you get to see an awful lot of Israel that you could never see on your own. We recommend the tour, just be prepared to get a LOT of exercise.
Let me warn you! You will be exhausted after this tour. You will get up early and walk all day to see the wonders of Israel! The tour will show you so much of this beautiful Holy Land. You will love every stop you make. We had an excellent guide who was very educated about every stop we made. He could also give us some quiet time in the bus so we could relax and prepare for the next stop! We all grew to like Patrick Harlaar as the tour went on. I would like to tell you about our favorite sites, but they were all so great it makes it difficult! As a Christian, it was so wonderful walking in the steps of Christ. It was actually mind blowing to have done this. Then to be in other places where other biblical people inhabited was the icing on the cake. Also, we were educated about Judaism and some of it's history. A well rounded tour of the Holy Land whatever your religion. Since this price includes Breakfast and dinner and your hotel room. It is not a bad price at all. Things are expensive in Israel as taxes are high to protect this land from invasion from unfriendly neighbors. You will be paying for your own lunches also, these lunch prices will surprise you. But, when you are eating lunch on your tours, you are taken into restaurants that get your food on the table quickly which allows more time for sight seeing. ONE BIG TIP! Get there a day or two early to explore Old Jerusalem. The tour visits the wailing wall, walks the Via Delorosa stations of the cross and Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the old town. There is so much more to see that you need to take more time there. This is NOT a complaint, just a fact in order for you to enjoy your trip to Israel. In closing, if you have the time and you have the money, Israel is a must see location. This tour is very thorough and you will see so much. After you are finished and rest up for a few days, you will look back in amazement at the experience! Highly, Highly, Highly Recommend this tour!
This tour was well organized, and a tour guide, Omer was very good. Transportation between the airport and a hotel was our own and comfortable car. We had a nice group during a tour and enjoyed a trip very much. Optional tour, Dead Sea was excellent.
Overall a very good tour, with an ideal itinerary. The guide was very good at describing sights etc but, poor with organisation and scheduling of the itinerary. People turned up late repeatedly, nothing was said or done, so the rest of us had to wait and wait. I arrived early for the tour and wasn't even contacted by the guide to inform me of pick up times. A note was left with the front desk at the hotel. had I not gone to find out about this at the front desk, I wouldn't have known the schedule. Indeed, the guide never even learned people's names. This surprised me greatly, comparing it to other tours I have been on. However, the tour included a lot of wonderful places and this part was carried out well. I would recommend this tour.
