I had booked this trip way in advance but was dismayed that I was among a small group of people who were bumped from the tour due to overbooking and basically shoved to another tour agency, who did not provide some of the services that I had paid for. The group then left an hour later than was stated. There was no guide after we were dropped off, no river cruise ticket was given. I managed to find my way to the falls, which were beautiful, but this was such a disappointing service. Gave a score of 2 instead of 1 because they gave a partial refund.
Krka waterfalls are great for photography fans, one can swim directly below the falls or walk through peaceful trails. Also, refreshment opportunities are sufficient.
Bit of a rip off in my opinion as you’re only paying for a coach ride there and back which is expensive for what it is. Coach was old and smelt of urine. Krka NP was great but it’s another £20 to get in so overall very expensive.
I'm sure there's a good reason why we had to meet a good 5 minute walk away from the coach but it wasn't explained to us. The guide seemed quite stressed from the outset but she was very nice and organised us very well all the way to the park. Unfortunately, both she and the coach driver were very late to the pick-up point (which was not well explained) and it was all a bit chaotic after that. There was no leeway given on the departure time and, as 4 people were slightly late, we missed our slot to leave. Surely, it's better to ask people to arrive slightly earlier than the planned departure time, even if it's 5 minutes. It didn't help that the location of the coach wasn't clear. It was only a 75 minute journey back to Split but we were all hot, the coach chaos wasn't any fun and we'd challenge the fact that the coach was air-conditioned! The fans were working very hard but we really don't think that was air-conditioning. Nevertheless, Krka NP is beautiful, nicely set out with wooden walkways all the way round and a good selection of cafes and shops around the park. The waterfalls are STUNNING! But, boy, is this place popular.
Pretty but small park, if you only have a few days in Split I wouldn't recommend to waste a full day on this excursion
The trip was very good value, well organised and on time. The best day of my holiday in Split.A stunning place not to be missed. We had enough time there to see everything and enjoyed the boat trip.
The tour guide was not friendly and seemed to flirt with the younger college age men. She left with the tour before everyone was back from paying for their tickets. I expected to pay for the park entrance via credit card and she seemed extremely annoyed at me, stating that it was clear that we had to pay in local currency only. She was incorrect about that and as soon as I got there I went to an ATM and she made me feel badly about it . Hello - customer service?????? If you are going to be a tour guide, you need to be hospitable to ALL tourists, not only the young men that you are flirting with, very inappropriate. She did not narrate at all on the way there or back and did not show us where to walk to get the bus at the end. The tour guide should learn some lessons in customer service, she almost ruined the trip entirely for us with her poor attitude.
As the Krka waterfalls are only a 1.5h bus trip from Split, there was around 4h of free time to explore the Krka Waterfalls individually. The tour does not include a tour guide (it is clearly written on the description), so the main service is the bus ride to Krka (with a short break with a nice panorama onto the river), the buying of the tickets and the ride back to Split.
Definitely recommend! The price of the tour basically gets you a bus transport to and from the falls. It does not include a fee to enter the park itself 90kn for adults, 30kn for students you give to the tour guide, but it's so worth it! You take a boat down the river for 30 minutes until you reach the falls, and from there you get to explore the falls on your own for about 5 hours. It's about a 1.5 mile walk all around the park with lots to see. The Krka Falls are absolutely beautiful and definitely a must-see! I recommend bringing some snacks or a lunch since there isn't much variety at the park. Our tour guide had a great sense of humor too!
The tour was very well-organised. I'm so glad I booked this tour! We had almost 5 hours free time at the park which was plenty of time to do the boardwalk twice I'm a fast walker, eat lunch and cool off in the water. Krka National Park is such a gem!
This was a great tour, you get a mini tour of the waterfalls at the start and then you have more than 3 hours of free exploration of the park and the trails, which is what I was looking for and enjoyed a lot.
Good for transportation to the falls and some basic info, which was all I was looking for. The swimming area was closed the day we went, and so our tour left an hour earlier. At first I was a bit annoyed that the time was cut I would have spent more time browsing the shops, but we still had enough time to walk through the path and get something quick to eat after. An easy way to see the falls!
This tour isn't so much a tour, but more transfers which was perfect for us. We wanted to spend many hours exploring the park and found that this tour was the only one that would offer us this. We were picked up on time by a friendly tour guide who took us to purchase our tickets then get the boat over, which was lovely. The national park itself is beautiful, we spent an hour and a half in the water I would highly recommend taking water shoes, a waterproof camera, and something to keep your valuable in as you are not able to see the bags from the water. The water was beautiful and although it was a busy day we had a wonderful time. We then grabbed some food from the snack stalls then hiked around the park and took lots of beautiful pictures. I would highly recommend this tour if you would like the flexibility to explore this park at your own pace.
The trip was inexpensive and worth every penny. The tour was not overbearing and I appreciated the amount of time we had to spend in the park. The boat cruise was a nice addition as well, I would recommend sitting at the front of the boat during the cruise if possible and bringing our own food as there were not a lot of options at the park. Overall, it was a great experience and I would do it again.
