Wasserstadt Zhujiajiao und private Tagestour durch Shanghai

I had a great experience on this customized tour-my tour guide Wilson was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our guide was Caroline, she arrived at our hotel on time 9am then with a great driver we first went to Zhujiajiao Water Town. Caroline gave us a continuous really informative commentary took us to places we would never have found and then we had lunch in a very traditional and first class restaurant. After lunch we left the Water Town around 2pm and drove to Tianzifang in the previous French concession district where we explored really interesting places and finally the Shanghai Tower. This was followed by a great dinner, thanks to Caroline we tried some very different dishes. We finally arrived back at our hotel at 8.45pm! A 12 hour tour that was so enjoyable and not tiring. A truly great experience!

The name of my tour guide was Judy. Judy did a great job of showing me around. The schedule was very well planned and we progressed through all the points of interest in a timely manner. The overall plan was a great introduction to the sights and history of Shanghai. Judy was very knowledgeable of the local history and the backgrounds of all the places that we attended. August is a busy season in Shanghai. Be prepared for crowds and warm weather. Overall a great experience!

This full-day tour was definitely a highlight of our trip to Shanghai. Our guide Judy was beyond helpful, very knowledgeable, friendly, and a great conversationalist. She provided lots of useful recommendations, both about food and suggested sights / photo opportunities during the tour, as well things that were near our hotel for afterwards. On Judy's suggestion we went early to the Shanghai Tower first in order to beat the crowds, and I'd definitely recommend this, the lines can apparently get very long so an early-morning start can streamline things. Zhujiajiao was beautiful, and the lunch was excellent (especially the fried rice dish and the beef and peppers dish). The marketplace was great, and you should definitely haggle to get better prices (you can always get a much better deal with a little effort). The Jade Buddah Temple was also very elegant and interesting. Finally, the dinner option was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend including it. The lamb skewers were delicious, as were the home-made noodles and other dishes (garlic green beans in particular). The juice items on the menu were also very tasty. Make sure to bring a healthy appetite!

Excellent tour. Jane was very professional, informative, and patient. She took us around the charming Zhujiajiao town, and up the Shanghai Tower. She and the driver also accommodated our request to find a filming location of a favorite Chinese drama in the Pudong area. We felt relaxed and comfortable despite the rainy weather. Highly recommended!

The tour bus was very well air conditioned and the driver was on time and very easy going. Jane was also an excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable, flexible, and friendly. She really made our whole day a positive experience. The water town was also a highlight of our day. Very well organized.

Despite torrential rain the whole day, Ling and Alana provided a very fun and informational experience. You learn about contemporary Chinese culture as well as the history of the areas you visit. My wife and I do many of these tours around the world and we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This tour is definitely very good!

Very prompt and efficient service, constant up dates, guide very knowledgeable and a very enjoyable tour - apart from the traffic but we were in China!

Charlie and Mr. Chang were amazing! Mr.Chang drove us to all 3 places, Charlie went above and beyond describing details of each location as well as taking time to answer our questions. We had a wonderful lunch and he even helped us with the local shops and the purchase of gifts in Water Town. We highly recommend the services of these two on your Shanghai adventure!

The tour today was great. I got to see a lot of different things and Berlin was really helpful to explain the history and to answer all of my questions. I only had one day to go on a tour to see Shanghai so it was a great to see all these different things. Thank you.

Lynn and Wilson did a wonderful job showing us around Shanghai. They took the time to explain all of the sights, and made us feel like VIPs! Mr Zhao was a good driver and we felt comfortable and safe in his car today. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing more of Shanghai.

We couldn’t ask for a better experience during the Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai City Private Day Tour. Mary was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable about all of the sites and very efficient in including everything my husband and I wanted to see. We requested to see the Shanghai tower at sunset and she planned the whole day around it and sure enough we were able to go to the top of the tower exactly at sunset, which made for beautiful pictures and memories. At each of the locations we were able to move to the front of the lines and several additional experiences (ie. boat rides) were included at no additional cost to us. This is one of the best tours Shanghai has to offer...highly recommended tour and tour guide!

My boyfriend and I LOVED the tour and the tour guide/driver were amazing. I highly recommend them 5/5 stars definitely. It is our last day and perfect icing on the cake on our Shanghai trip. The spots we went to were perfect combination of history and modern, just what we wanted to see! Our driver Chan was nice and we felt safe. We were able to rest reassuringly during the long drive to Zhujiajiao. Our guide Charlie had a lot of information and fun facts to share. He was also very patient with us every time we wanted to make a stop or wanted extra time. He also helped with translating and buying souvenirs. The extra time spent at Xintiandi was also greatly appreciated.

Fantastic tour today. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent driver. We had a wonderful day and Wilson is absolutely wonderful. We loved Old Town, the Jade Buddha Temple and decided to relax and take a cup of Chinese Tea which was an absolute highlight. Highly recommend this tour! And we got so many great pictures.

We visited zhujiajiao water village, jade Buddha temple, yuyuan baraza and Shanghai tour. We spend an amazing day with our tour guide Snow. She is helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Snow explained very well in details during the tour. The food in the water village was good. But the dinner in the xinjiang style restaurant was wonderful. I will highly recommend this company and Snow and driver to my friends.

The tour was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. Daisy was very knowledgeable, helpful and lots of fun to spend the day with. We were able to look at things of interest at our own pace and we never felt any pressure to rush. Daisy was very attentive to our needs. The driver was very professional and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this tour, or was a great way to experience and explore Shanghai and the culture.

The tour was absolutely marvelous. I scheduled it for my very first day in Shanghai and I was very glad I did. All communication was timely, prompt, and informative. We Visited Shanghai Tower, Yu Garden , jade Buddha Temple and Zhujiajiao water village with our Tour Guide Snow.The tour was amazing. Snow not only showed us the great sites of Shanghai but also provided excellent explanations to what we were seeing. The meal in a typical restaurant was very good. Finally, Snow even found a hidden shop, where we bought a Chinese painting. The tour was very well organized which includes the cooperation with our driver. Thank you for this lovely day.

I have very much enjoyed my tour today, in spite of the weather and even though we did not go up the Tower. That is not a problem. Xin organised the tour very well, and adapted what we did to suit the conditions. Everywhere we went was of great interest and Xin was very informative about every feature on the tour. She was also kind and thoughtful, making sure lunch was ordered to fit my preferences. The food was delicious. Xin was lovely company and a very professional guide. The drivers are most courteous and prompt. I am very impressed with the two private tours from amazing shanghai trips, and give both of them a 5, without hesitation. I will certainly recommend them.

We visited the Zhujiajiao water village, Shanghai Tower and Jade Temple with Snow as our guide. I would highly recommend this trip. We were only in Shanghai for two days so wanted to make the most of our time. Snow was very knowledgeable and friendly and she planned the day to suit our interests. The lunch at the water village was wonderful and the boat ride was very unique. This tour offers great insight to life in Shanghai.

We booked this tour as we had limited time in Shanghai and wanted to squeeze in as much as possible. We were met at our hotel by the wonderful Daisy and made to feel like VIPs for the entire day. Daisy adapted the iteneray to suit our needs and kept us expertly informed at each stop. We couldn’t have asked for a warmer, friendlier guide and driver. The tour itself was a perfect combination of the old (Watertown) and the new (Shanghai tower) with culinary delights thrown in for good measure (lunch was amazing). If you have limited time in Shanghai, book this tour for a sure fire way of sampling the best that this amazing city has to offer.

Our guide was Brian, and he was great. 5 friends and I were staying in Shanghai and later Beijing. I had been to China several years ago, and I felt my friends should see a village in China in addition to big cities. Brian took us to Zhujiajiao, a 700 year old village. It is called the "Venice of China" because of the canals. We had lunch in the village. Thereafter, Brian took us to Yu Garden, the Shanghai Tower and the Bund. This was a private tour with just my group. My friends and I loved this tour.

Wilson was our tour guide, he was very friendly and easy to have good communication with, he was very knowledgeable about Zhujiajiao, the Jade Buddha Temple, we had an amazing local lunch, afternoon Tea tasting, and had an amazing experience in Shanghai Tower. I feel the private tour was a highlight and my favorite day of our trip while in Shanghai.

Highly recommend this awesome tour! This is a private tour with a driver and a guide. Our guide Julie was outstanding. She picked us up at our hotel right on time and we discussed what the day was going to look like. We first went to the Yuyuan marketplace and then the gardens. Julie gave us a great deal of information as we walked through the marketplace and the gardens. We then went to the top of Shanghai Tower for an outstanding view of the city. Next was a fabulous lunch at the tower. Great food. Then we got in the car for the drive to the country and a tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town. We have never seen anything like this. Julie took us through the city and showed us all the local places including a beautiful garden. We also had a boat ride through the canals. What a fantastic day. One of the best tours we have ever taken. I highly suggest you take this tour.

I had a happy tour with my tour guide Snow. She gave me a lot of information about everywhere. Snow is very patient and take a lot of photos for me. She also help me to do shopping. We visited a lot of nice places. The water Village is so pretty. The restaurant we eat in the water village was very good. I will highly recommend this tour.

Daisy was amazing. She has so much knowledge of Shanghai, spoke wonderful English and has the best personality. We would definitely request Daisy again for another tour and suggest her and Viator to everyone.

I’m very impressed with the services that Snow had gave us. She’s very helpful, informative and kind. She is highly recommended for your tour guide if you want to take tour in Shanghai. She also recommended a really good food and local snacks.

We very much enjoyed our day with Snow who was a most gracious and knowledgeable host. We were very impressed in the morning with a visit to Shanghai Tower and the incredible view from the top. Next we visited the Jade Buddha Temple which had beautiful statues of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and afterwards we ventured in our very comfortable car to the water village where we had a delicious lunch consisting of dumplings, sweet and sour pork, chicken Kung Po and beef mushroom noodles. The water town was extremely serene with a water taxi ride and a visit to the Official’s house and garden. It is a very beautiful oasis outside of the city. Lastly we visited the French Concession area for coffee and people watching in the famous night club area. My wife and I would recommend this trip with Snow. A brilliant snapshot of Shanghai.

Our tour was great today! Judy made sure we got to see everything and was very informative on all the things we saw. The weather was great so the village and boat ride up the canal was very pretty. Jane was a great guide, very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. The water village is very interesting, from the shops and the food to the boat trip. Then we went up the tower! Throughout the day Jane told us a lot about life in China and answered all questions we had. Luckily her English is excellent. The driver was also very good, he got us everywhere and back safely!

We can’t say enough about how Xin made our tour today as good as it could possibly be. If and when We come back to Shanghai, she’s the guide we want. Well done Xin.
