Private Suzhou Day Trip from Shanghai by Bullet Train with All Inclusive Option

Berlin is an excellent guide and with their careful booking and planning, our tour was excellent - the first venue was quite crowded and Berlin assisted in helping us to get around the crowds and noted may of the things we might miss such as the art on the pathways. Her flexibility and kind nature helped us to have a wonderful day - we had a great peaceful boat ride and the visit to the east gate was nice - it was so serene there. The bullet train ride was our first and was nice and super smooth. Berlin made sure of our comfort throughout the day and we had a wonderful lunch.)

We had a great day from start to finish. We were met at our hotel at 9am as arranged. We went by private vane to bullet train and had excellent seats in 1st class. Our guide Jenny was very knowledgeable and helpful and knows so much about Suzhou. We were taken to many interesting places, including the Humble Administrator’s Garden which was lovely and made all the more interesting by Jenny who elaborated on the history. We had a boat ride on the river. Lunch was at a lovely hotel found by Jenny. The lunch was excellent local cuisine ... I am vegetarian and Jenny made sure I had plenty to eat! We did a rickshaw ride to the Pan City Wall .... the gardens and settings here were absolutely amazing and much quieter than the Humble Administrator’s garden.... again Jenny was so informative. We went to Shan Tang Old Dream Tea Room for traditional jasmine tea and were treated to an opera and music in the most idyllic of settings. We had a fantastic day, were very well looked after by Jenny and not forgetting our driver who always appeared when we needed him. Highly recommend!

Yes, we had a super trip with Berlin and Barbara looking after us so well. We very much enjoyed the gardens, rickshaw and local lunch. Unfortunately we had to cut the trip short a little as had meeting in Shanghai. The bullet train was also very interesting journey as max speed at home is 100km. Very happy to recommend 5/5.

This was a great trip! I very much appreciated all of the communication between Alana since I booked the trip. Everything was easy, from the booking, the pickup and all of the transfers. I also very much enjoyed spending the day with Berlin. She had lots of energy, was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and was very willing to show me some hidden gems! I definitely would have her as a guide again if I have the chance!

Great and really enjoyable day for my family with my toddler granddaughter. The tour guide and the driver took care of us really well, very accommodating. Quality of this tour is good, and they are knowledgeable too!

We had a fantastic day today! It was well paced and the transitions were all very smooth, from the hotel pick up to the bullet train to the drivers, both in Shanghai and in Suzhou. We learned so much fascinating information and history, and our guide, Daisy, was a wealth of information in a fun way. Walking through the Humble Administrator’s Garden was a delight, as was our lunch in a local authentic restaurant. The boat ride through the Shantang Slough totally exceeded our expectations and was so picturesque! And then our walk through the Old Town, with Daisy as our guide, provided an insight into the daily life and culture of Suzhou. We also appreciated the individual attention that a private tour provides. We highly recommend this tour, and would take it again!

My tour was amazing I love Suzhou. It is an amazing town just 20 minutes from Shanghai by taking the bullet train. At first I was picked up in my hotel on time and the driver and the tour guide was so kind and welcoming. Then she helped me first by buying me breakfast and then by taking me to my seat in the train and all the time was worried that I was Ok. Our tour guide (Jenny) who knows everything about Suzhou. She first took us to the amazing Humble Administrator Gardens which are amazing and she explained to us in detail everything about such gardens. After the gardens we took a rickshaw that took us to an amazing street beside one of the canals with amazing stores and beautiful places. After that we arrived to a local restaurant with local Chinese food very good (I tasted different Chinese food as the one I tasted in Beijing pr Shanghai, more sea food). After, we walked a little bit and bought some ice creams as dessert. Then we were taken to one the Pagodas, its gardens and the city wall and again Jenny was an expert on the history of such sites explaining me very good in English all the details I need to know. This places were also breathtaking. After that we went to the Tiger Hill to take a boat and sailing a little bit in one of the main canals of the city so to get to know a little bit more about the city and its history and feeling how the locals use to lived in the past. Then we continue walking by the streets of old town of Suzhou between canals and beautiful stores full with beautiful Chinese clothing and a lot of different food stores. I was traveling alone so the tour guide was so good with me by helping me taking pictures. Finally we arrived to the train station to return to Shanghai. I was so happy with this tour and I am hoping to return to Suzhou and staying at least 3 days to get to know more about the local history food and amazing shop stores. Thank you so much for the amazing tour, it has been one of the best days during my trip to China.

I give 5 stars. Charlie was excellent - so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We LOVED the tour - especially the boat trip. The one unexpected highlight was the lunch in Suzhou - WOW, it was really outstanding! We are so glad we found this tour company. Wilson and Charlie both helped make our visit to Shanghai an excellent one!

Well-organized trip with spot on time in getting to places with no unnecessary time wasted. Appreciate the little extra things Alana put in like taking our photo and the warm and friendly approach in taking us around. An unforgettable trip and we enjoyed the tour as much as the company of Alana.
