San Francisco: Weihnachtsnächte und Sehenswürdigkeiten

We didn’t expect To tour commercial areas. We’ve seen those sights. And the loudspeaker was glaringly loud. And we did not have a separate tour guide as advertised—just the driver. Way over priced.

We arrived prior to our 8:00 pm departure at the designated departure site; the trolley was present; however no driver nor staff were present. My family including my 5 yr old granddaughter waited 45-minutes and still no driver or help. I called the telephone number posted on website; left 3 messages about no driver at trolley. I am still waiting for a call back! Our tour was scheduled for Tuesday, 11/27/18 at 8:00 pm. Disappointed in your customer service as well how this paid and confirmed tour did not happen.

We had so much fun! The tour took us all over the city, showing us many sights we never would have seen by walking. The warm blankets provided were much appreciated, and the Santa hats were an adorable touch! Our tour guide was clear and articulate, and was able to answer several questions asked by the riders. He was very entertaining, especially when he randomly sang along with the Christmas music playing on board. Very enjoyable experience!

Not sure if I selected the wrong time and date to take this tour. I thought this would be something different and fun to invite my out of town in-laws to. The tour provided a driver, tour commentator, santa hat for each guest and holiday music while riding the motorized cable car throughout the streets of San Francisco. The tour disappointed from beginning to end. We had to ask for the Santa Hat. The PA / microphone was not operating properly. So we spent some of the time listening to ear piercing squeals. The music selection did not add to the holiday spirit. The tour guide lacked enthusiasm when speaking. As we rode through the streets, there were times which we just sat and looked out. When he spoke, some of the information was not interesting. Some of the information, could be obtained by looking out the window and arriving at the same conclusion. Also, the driver interjected with his own comments which did not help the experience but instead contradicted what was said by the tour guide. This made me feel like the tour guide was not experienced and was filling in for a friend. I could not wait to get off the tour. I have to confess that I for the first time did not tip a person.

Loved it! Had a little history along with caroling and beautiful city lights! They provided blankets for us and santa hats to keep our heads warm and festive. Great way to start the holiday season!
