Peter and Paul Fortress is the origin of our city. from the architectural point of view it preserves the earliest buildings dating back to the times of Peter the Great. You will tour the fortress territory and see what Peter the Great wanted St. Petersburg look like, punge in the atmosphere of the 18th century.

The principal church of St. Petersburg in early 18th century, it served as a burial vault of the Russian tsars. The last tsars - Nicholas II, Alexandra and their family murdered by Soviets - were also reberied in the Cathedral.

Stop At: State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, Petropavlovskaya Krepost, 3, St. Petersburg 197046 Russia

The fortress has several permanent and temporary exhibitions on it's grounds, the whole complex is known as the Museum of History of St. Petersburg. We include an inside visit to the former political prison of the tsars (also used by Soviets till some point).

Upon your wish, other exhibitions can be included in this visit, too.

We'll walk to the Neva pier of Peter and Paul Fortress. Once the Commandant of the Fortress kept his boats here. Beautiful views of the Neva river embankments adorned with Royal palaces are guaranteed!
