Awesome trip! Easy access from Rome via train from Roma Termini station. Hosts Carlos, the owner, and Frederico were waiting for us and took us to the winery. They were the ultimate hosts, and provided intimate authentic Italian hospitality. The tour was a balanced mix of information about growing grapes and what goes on in the vineyard, the wine making process, and of course how to correctly taste and analyze wine. We really enjoyed the visit to the century old cellar. This is a small family business with the highly acclaimed wine made the old fashioned way. The wine is excellent! An added bonus were the local meats, cheeses and bread dipped in olive oil made from the olive trees on the farm. We highly recommend this reasonably priced trip if you're looking for a diversion from the craziness of Rome.
