Make the most of your time in Rome with the early access to the Sistine Chapel in a small group Tour. Limited to just 6 people per group, you will have direct access to the Sistine Chapel prior to the arrival of public tourists. Enjoy the incredible beauty of Michelangelo's masterpiece with your expert local guide and learn the history, techniques and secrets behind one of the most visited sites in Italy. With over 25,000 tourists visiting per day, you will be thankful to enjoy it prior to the regular opening times!
Your tour does not end with the chapel, as you will make your way to the largest church in the world - St Peter's Basilica. Your guide will prepare you with all of the necessary facts and information prior to entering the basilica on your own. Equipped with your Livitaly map with highlights to see throughout the church, you will have your own free time to explore the beautiful collections of Baroque and Renaissance which adorn the basilica. As you look up you can enjoy another of Michelangelo's works - the dome that marks the signature skyline of the Eternal City. You will also have the chance to see the impressive Baldachin High Altar of Gian Lorenzo Bernini made entirely out of bronze.
Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel is a must see while visiting Rome, but with thousands of visitors daily it is hard to fully appreciate the works of art among the crowds. This tour allows visitors to experience the sites prior to the arrival of large crowds. You can make the most of your time enjoy one of the most iconic sites in Rome all before 9:30 am, with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the city!
ABOUT OUR 6 PEOPLE SMALL GROUP POLICY
When you book a small group tour, you are guaranteed one tour guide per group of 6 people. Please bear in mind though that in order to accommodate traveling families and friends, we do on rare occasion make the exception of adding an additional one to two guests in order not to split groups who are traveling together. On that same note, you may find yourself on tour with less than six people. As we accept bookings in multiples of six, math doesn’t always work in our favor to help accommodate individual travelers and their families when on the same tour, so we hope you understand and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Alex was an excellent guide and very accommodating. My mom needed some extra help and it was great to have someone who knew their way around so well. He was super informative and was able to give us all the information we needed to fully understand what we were seeing. An hour and half might seem long but it is "express". If you want to spend more time in the museum or learning more about what is there this is not the tour for you. But it was perfect for us, it was a last day in Rome and we were able to see the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's.
