Tour in kleiner Gruppe: Antikes Rom und Untergrund-Tour im Kolosseum

We loved it! It was our third time at the colosseum and it is definitely the way to see it. You get so much more with the access to the underground and 3rd and 4th levels. And our guide was so knowledgeable- just awesome!

The tour provided us with access to all parts of the colosseum, the main floor, underground and Belvedere. We skipped the line and were provided access with much lighter crowds. Our guides were very knowledgeable and spoke clearly. Definitely recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour. You definitely want to visit the Underground (and not all tours include this option). Our guide was a historian and she helped us use our imagination and we could almost hear the roar of the lions and the rattle of chains. Ear pieces were very helpful so we could hear.

This tour is absolutely worth it! Getting to go underground to the area where the gladiators waited to enter the arena was a once in a lifetime experience. The rest of the tour was highly enjoyable as well and our guide was great.

When the tour at Colosseo finished, there was not a guide in order to show us the Roman Forum. I was not understanding what was happening and if I couldn't follow other tourists, I would not even have understood that the entrance to the Roman Forum was included. The tour around the Colosseo wasn't worth the money I had paid. Later, I was informed that there is a cheaper way in order to enter the Colosseo having skipped the line. I could find the information that guide provided to us in a book. Keep in mind that, although English-speaking guides know that tourists all over the world follow them (because there are not guidances in their native languages), they don't try to talk a little more slowly and easily.

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the tour guide that we did have was very sweet, and I am sorry that I don’t remember her name. Otherwise, I was very disappointed and feel like this tour was falsely advertised. I signed up for this tour because I wanted to see under the stage of the Colosseum and access the top level. This portion of the tour was great, and lasted for only 1 hour! Our tour guide was very sweet and seeing both of those levels was amazing. What disappointed me was the lack of a tour of the Roman Forum. When we met with our group to enter the Colosseum, the man who worked for the tour company passed out the tickets to the Roman Forum and told us they were a free bonus of our tour. I would have arranged for another tour guide to show me the forum, since it is hard to explore the ruins on your own and understand what everything is. When I booked the tour the description said 3:30 tour of both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, when in reality, it was a 1 hour tour of the Colosseum with a “free” ticket to the forum for you to walk around and explore by yourself.

This was a great tour. The guide they gave us was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed listening to her. The only thing we were disappointed in was that we didn't get to go to the 4th and 5th levels as advertised. They are performing reconstruction in those areas and those areas were off limits. We did enjoy the underground as that was one of the coolest experiences to see what they may have been experiencing below the stage.

Besides the hot heat in July, the tour was excellent! would not recommend visiting in July....too hot.

Everything was fabulous from the hospitality of the company representative who met us to the great guide who gave us good information. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour was good. Our initial guide Mido was very informative. The staff guide at the colosseum was just okay, but recommend anyway to get the additional access and views. I think we did overpay for this tour as compared to other tours that are available.

Our tour guide was very knowledgable and getting to the 3rd tier provided outstanding views of the colosseum and surrounds. Only downside was sharing the Palatine Hill entry with a group of six that could be only used once which was awkward. Individual passes to be used when required would have been more appropriate.

This booking is actually for two separate tours, with two different guides. That worked very well though, because each guide was very knowledgeable about the tour they were providing. The Colosseum underground tour was well worth the extra time and money.

We enjoyed the small group experience and knowledge of our guide(s). The archeologist inside the Colosseum was great and our guide outside with the tour company was superb. Very attentive! Highly recommend! Thank you for making our visit one we will remember. 5/24/2019 tour.

Our guide took the time to review the history of the Colosseum before it started . We started only at 9:15 since one family ran late and we had to wait for them . The tour itself was great - we went to the underground arena first and then to the upper tiers . There was plenty of opportunity to take pictures. I felt I learnt some history about Rome and how life must have been at the time . We had a Roman Forum tour after the Colosseum tour .This started on the dot . The guide gave us a pretty good idea about how people must have lived around the 100 BC - 600 AD time . Pretty fascinating . Both tours had audio and so it was easy to follow along . They also provided a number for text messaging which made communication easy before the tour started - when on the road we texted to confirm the meeting point etc

We had a great time on this tour. Easy to find and on time. Our guide was very knowledgable. We went underground and they had an elevator for people with difficulties doing stairs. Highly recommend this tour.

Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable about Roman history of the colosseum. We had visited he in the past but was so worth it to go on this detailed tour to see the ground floor and upper levels. You need to be prepared to do a lot of walking. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Our tour gude for the first leg was awesome! He was friendly, funny, and full of knowledge. He answered questions without issues. Lots of information and we we able to take lots of photos. 2nd leg was really informative. Underground tour was really great. Tour guide was fabulous. My family was thrilled with both sides of this tour. Absolutely amazing trip to Rome!

Great tour! We loved learning about the Roman Forum and the history of Rome way more than we expected. Our guide was so knowledgeable, entertaining, and answered all of our questions. Seeing the underground part of the Colosseum is so worth it, and it's SO worth it to skip the lines/avoid the crowds, too.

This trip opened up so many good and interesting memories. This is a fantastic tour taking you everywhere in the Colosseum. The views from the top level and the experience of being in the lower levels were stunning. Terrific guide and excellent trip so much more valuable than the general tour.

Our group of 4 was greeted outside the Colosseum by a guide who was professional and friendly, he escorted us into the Colosseum where we were met by a young lady who then guided a larger group of people throughout the Colosseum on all levels explaining in great detail the history. This was a very enjoyable and educational experience.

This was a two part tour provided by two different guides. The first part was the Roman Forum which was extremely interesting and informative. We loved that they are still excavating. We loved learning about daily life in Ancient Rome. The second part was a tour by an archeologist of the lower level. Again so informative and interesting. Once again learning about the daily lives in ancient times was really interesting. Both tour guides were great.

Very well organized, great guide. Just the right amount of time. Easy meeting location, and small group.
