Private Thorsmork Super Jeep Tour

We will pick you up at your pre-selected pick up location, at a timing of your choosing. Keep in mind that the total duration of the Thorsmork super jeep tour is between 8 and 10 hours, and during winter months we have limited daylight to work with.

The first stop of the day will be in Hvolsvöllur, for a short bathroom break and to stock up on some snacks and packed lunches for the trip (not included). Only a short drive from there, we will reach the first sightseeing stop of the day; Seljalandsfoss waterfall. On dry days, you can walk behind the waterfall on a mud path, to experience the amazing power of waterfalls from a different view point.

Next up, it is time to head off the beaten path and into Thorsmork. The first sightseeing stop in Thorsmork is at Gígjökull glacier tongue. It is receding very fast, so you may be one of the lucky last people to see this glacier, before it is all gone.

As you continue on, you will ford several rivers and streams, and really put the power of the super jeep to the test. Your expert driver-guide will lead you around the amazing landscapes of Thorsmork, stopping here and there for short and easy hikes, if you wish to do so.

Once you have spent a good amount of time exploring this natural beauty, it is time to head back to Reykjavik. We will drop you off wherever you wish.
