Had such an amazing experience! Way better than we imagined. The pick up and drop off was very easy, tour bus was comfortable and accommodating, staff was nice, very knowledgeable to things we passed by and what we were seeing, learned so much, stops had the perfect amount of time and she always made sure we didn’t loose anyone. RECOMENDATIONS: Don’t pack lunch you can’t eat on board and food isn’t too expensive where they stop, if it’s possibly gonna rain bring heavy duty clothes or an extra change, we were dripping wet even in our gear! Absolutely recommend this tour out of every other one tho :)
This was one of the best tours I have taken with viator. The Tour Guide was terrific. She was well informed and took extra care to make sure the attractions were enjoyable. She even changed the order in which we would see the attractions due to bad weather. By her changing the order in which we saw the sights we missed most of the rain. I would highly recommend this tour company.
A great tour...crater, geyser, rift valley.. All of what one thinks of for Iceland. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very personable. Problem with this tour was the Viator booking. I was assured three different times that we were booked on a bus with a maximum of 19 people and paid a higher price for the smaller number The bus came an hour late and was of the full size variety. Our name was on the manifest but we were not impressed that we had paid the higher price..had over an hour's wait, and were on the bigger bus spending time waiting for the many people and yes, latecomers at each stop. I don't know how I could have been clearer in my request. My moderate expectations were not met.
This bus tour made the circle of outstanding sights near Reykjavík. We saw the Kerid Crater, Gulfloss falls, and the tectonic plates, all while learning about Iceland’s history and culture. Thora, our guide, was outstanding and made the land come alive. Iceland is beautiful and surprising. This tour picked us up and delivered us back to our cruise ship docking with little confusion. A wonderful experience.
Our small group tour was cancelled due to not enough people signing up and we had to join a large coach tour if we wanted to see most of the same sites. While this option was not our first choice, luckily the company was able to accommodate our schedule and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Kerid crater, Gullfoss and the Strokkur Geyser were amazing and our bus time between stops included lots of interesting information from our guide.
Our guide Stina was great.Loves her country and knows a lot. The Rift Valley visit was very moving. And the falls are spectacular
We had a great trip.Howser our guide was brilliant. So knowledgeable and funny. The tour included a crater, golden waterfalls, geyser and the old parliament national park.
So much to see on this tour! Guide Matt was very informative and funny. There will be walking but nothing too strenuous. The Gulfoss waterfall and Þingvellir National Park look like the beginning of the world, that the creation started there: nature at her majesty! Absolutely a MUST DO tour. It was our second time there (first was an abbreviated version). It's hard to point out the best moments because everything was perfect! The sights, the food, the narration, the stop along the way...5 our of 5 stars! Fantastic day that was written in our memories and stay there forever!
very satisfied with the tour director and driver. we would do it again to bad the weather was not good
This was a fantastic tour! Our tour guide Gunnar was excellent, funny and knowledgeable of Iceland and all the sights we were seeing. It’s a full day but it flies by! You are on a coach bus with wifi and comfortable seats. Also the bus pick-up is painless. Bring some comfy shoes as we ended up doing a fair bit of walking in our free time. You get ample amount of free time, and there is time at a food court like restaurant for lunch. We packed our own and saved a bunch of time though.
Amazing trip. Amazing service from Emiliano and Yanar. Thank you for the great time! Incredible and beautiful tour. Definitely you need to do it!
A long day but saw so many natural beautiful sights, the geysers, golden circle. loads of stops for photo opportunities, toilet breaks and chance to get a hot drink as was a very cold day with snow and wind. The guide was very nice and well informed. The views from the coach as we were driving along was very bleak, with grey skies, snow, mountains etc, it was almost if the whole world outside the window was in black and white, very beautiful and dramatic
Exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide Frosty was very through and extremely friendly. This is a very good tour.
Loved the trip. But we found a few stops a little rushed. Geyser we would have preferred slightly longer to have food and view. Only had 1 hour 10 mins. Tour guide was knowledgeable however repeated himself a lot. But I would definitely recommend this trip. We were only able to see the Gullfross waterfall as other one was closed which was a shame.
Fantastic, brilliant ,amazing.would recommend to go.the waterfalls are beautiful. Went to the secret lagoon the day after, would recommend too instead of blue lagoon x
We paid the extra for pickup from our hotel .... Mat, who was the organiser on the pickup bus was brilliant on the way to where we swapped buses. When on the small bus that took us on the Golden Circle tour the driver was a rather special young lady called ‘Sif’ I hope that’s spelt right. It was short for her full name so easier to remember. She spoke great English and gave us full commentary on the way to the Waterfalls and Geysers etc. She was well rehearsed and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour. My wife and I had a great time and I think I speak for all the passengers when I say Sif made a great day into a spectacular day. All of the stops were perfect. We would go again tomorrow if possible. 10/10 from us thanks Sif!!!!
The bus pick up was very efficient on time and Greta our guide knew our names upon arrival. Greta was really knowledgeable helpful and very informative and Magik the driver was a star. This tour was excellent value for money and a good way to see and experience Iceland . Highly recommended and worth every penny. Christine Dias London Uk
The attractions on this tour were nice to see. However the tour guide Brian was not ideal. He was rude, shamed a passenger for being late, and spoke French to the driver all of the time, even though the passengers were English speaking. Brian might consider learning something about Iceland, as he repeated everything he said five or six times, which was annoying. It was obvious he did not want to be there. At the end of the tour he asked us if we wanted to be dropped off were we had been picked up, of course we did. He then dropped us off across a major street, the we objected he told us we had 30 seconds to get off the bus. We then had to walk a couple of blocks in the snow to get to where we should have been dropped off. We put the tip money he was so careful to mention again and again back in out pockets. We have taken tours with Via all over the world and have never had an experience like this before.
Tour Guide Matthew and Drive Skuli were amazing.Matthew is fantastic and very knowledgeable. He entertained us with funny facts. Sightseeing were beautiful and we had enough time to take pictures everywhere.Recommend
Excellent day out, our guide was very good on discribing everything, very well organised from pick up to taking us back to hotel
Our family really enjoyed the frequent stops of this trip, plus our guide, Johanes, was very knowledgeable and entertaining with it! We learned a lot about Icelandic history and geology interspersed with the gorgeous landscape. Definitely worth the day!
