Unter Walen und Vulkanen, ganztägige Tour inklusive Mittagessen

This was a very good tour. During whale watching we saw a Fin whale and a lot of dolphins. The guides on the boat were very knowledgeable about marine life. We spent the rest of the tour with our guide Nuno. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. Overall, it was a great day!

If you do 1 tour while visiting Sao Miguel,do this. We were picked up at our hotel on time by Roberto. He took us to Ponto Delgada harbour where we checked in for the whale watching tour. What a tour it was, we saw dolphins,a sei whale and a minke whale. Such beautiful creatures. The boats was clean,the crew were enthuaiastic and multilingual. They took time to speak to everyone on the boat, were keen to share their knowledge and make sure everyone got a good view of the whales and dolphins. After our boat trip,we met Hugo at the harbourside. What a great guy, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. We never felt rushed, stopped at all the good viewing points and with Hugo's knowledge we learnt ao much more about the island and it's attractiona than we would have. Lunch was at Marco's in Lagoa, we got a beer and tried locally caught fish, cheese from the islands and pork. Yum! We would never have found this place on our own but enjoyed a lovely lunch with a view out to see. After lunch Hugo drove us to see Lagoa do Fogo and stopped at brilliant points to take in the amazing scenery and take some good photos to make people back home jealous. After Lagoa do Fogo we headed to Caldeira Velha, where we saw the natural thermal spas nestled amongst the forest. After that,Hugo drove us to santa barbara beach, before driving us back to the hotel. I cannot recommend this tour enough,Hugo gave ua great tips on local restaurants,beer,wine and where to go for the most beautiful sunset on the island. I'd advise doing this trip early on in your holiday as it helps get your bearings and plan for other areas of interest you may not have been aware of. Also, if you're unlucky enough to miss any whales and dolphins, you can rebook for free so don't leave till your last day! Do this tour and have a day to remember.

Pick up promptly in the morning by 'Hugo' our tour guide for the day and taken two the whale watching, 2 BLUE WHALES Together Believed to be a breading pair! 3 species of Dolphin, flying fish and numerous species of birds, the staff where very friendly and knowledgeable a great to our tour, Hugo meet us at the dock and took us for a lovely lunch in a great restaurant that set us up for the rest of the day. Hugo was friendly and knowledgeable and took us to all the best view points on the way to the fire lakes, nothing was rushed and time was not a problem, He made us feel like we were on a VIP tour, giving us lots of time one to one with all of us, we cant thank him enough, and we would defiantly would book this tour again when we return... He was a very good driver made the journey very comfortable and chatted all the way, His knowledge is vast and also a lot of fun, We Highly recommend this tour, it was the best day of our holiday, Top marks
