Lwang Village Home Stay

Lwang lies in picturesque view of Machhapuchhre Himalayas, which fall under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), situated at an elevation of 1460m. Lwang is famous for organic Himalayan tea farming & lies 20km North-West from Pokhara. The Gurung village is also the starting point of Mardi Himal trekking route (The Hidden Paradise). The major occupations of villagers are tourism (homestay), military service, overseas employment, organic tea factory & agriculture.

Typical Gurung Village stone roof & wall house, like other villages, Lwang village also has diversity in many culture & caste but mostly Gurungs are the natives of this village. The people of Lwang village are kind, open-hearted, well-mannered & well cultured. Here Gurung community has a rich tradition & culture. The Gurung people are helpful & honest. They love music & have their own language. Gurung community believes “The Guest is God”.

Accommodation & facilities:

Lwang village has 11 houses which provide home stay facilities. The home stays are registered under the ministry of tourism of Nepal. The 11 houses can accommodate around 60-70 people at a time. The houses provide clean rooms with basic amenities like toilets, bathrooms, hot & cold shower etc. There is no restaurant or hotels in the village. Since home stay package include food & accommodation, the guests are provided with breakfast, lunch & dinner in the same house where they are staying.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: After breakfast 30mins drive from Pokhara (Bagar) to Hemja (Milan Chowk).Hemja to Lwang North-East graveled road 1hr drive then you would be at the lap of panoramic nature from where you can start your trekking. Drive upto Khoramukh (middle place of Lwang & Hemja) then 45mins walk via forest of Lwang, Overnight at Home.

Day 02: After breakfast , back to Pokhara.
