Tour guide was very good with the history of the French Revolution but more important Paris history in general, brought us to and gave us an education in the French revolution. café stop was at the oldest café in Paris where we sat in Thomas Jeffersons favorite seat as well as seeing many other artifatiques there. enjoyed
We loved this tour, our three school children included. Malieka was terrific--knowledgable and approachable. She made the stories and information come alive. The mid tour stop at the historic cafe was great. It was amazing to see the places where well known, and not so well known, events happened.
Our tour guide, Cory really brought this time alive for us. He was very informative and enthusiastic and painted word pictures of the time and places of the revolution. His use of his iPad to share images of the main players and the things that happened was really effective and helpful. Also some of the locations he took us to were magical! A must do activity when next youre in Paris!
Our tour guide was wonderful!! I tried writing a review just after our tour in September but the link did not work! We have been to Paris 8 times but we never learned as much as we did on this tour. She did an excellent job explaining the French Revolution and what took place in Paris at that time. Excellent education and much better than a museum! J and L
We loved this tour....we have visited Paris many times, but found this tour to give us so many new insights to the history of the city during revolutionary times. There were just five of us...my wife and I and three great ladies from Australia.....Agathe was a wonderful historian and full of interesting information...be sure to ask for her when you book this trip!!
Great tour guide, interesting sites and insights--one of the highlights of our trip. We learned a lot and enjoyed the experience. The tour went over its scheduled length due to our interest and questions. Our guide, Alberto, seamlessly weaved the personal tragedies into the social, intellectual, and historical tragedy of the times. We highly recommend.
This tour was amazing. We were told at the beginning of the tour that we would not be visiting the obvious places, such as Place de la Concorde, etc., since they could easily be accessed on our own. Instead, we went to places that were off the beaten track in a neighborhood that was a hot bed of revolutionary activity. We learned lots about the Revolution and about the personalities involved. Many of these people were not who we thought they were.
I've been to Paris 4 times and this was the coolest thing I've ever done there. Corey was our tour guide and took us through the narrow winding streets of the revolution. He is an amazing story teller and we got to see pieces of history that you would never find on your own. I absolutely loved the tour and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the history of Paris.
