Incredible views from the top. The internal staircase was amazing, totally worth climbing the 284 stairs... Very interesting history.
Having the prepaid voucher made all the difference in our visit. The ticket line was very long and we were able to enter immediately. The lift was offered as I said that I was unable to climb the stairs because of a recent knee injury. I was able to enjoy the museum and my husband was able to climb the stairs to the top. Very enjoyable visit. I highly recommend this tour.
Glad we purchased the skip the line tickets, straight in and missed the line that was extremely long. If you want to do this it is well worth it
A hot day, crowds milling and a desire to see this monument led us down the Champs d'Alysee. We had pre-purchased tickets and easily found our way to the designated queue. Upon reaching the window, the representative offered us a lift to the top. What a relief! This allowed us to maximise our time and minimise the potential for trauma. Thanks to all. A great visit.
Great views-better than up Eiffel Tower as not as high. Gift shop really nice and well-priced. Really enjoyed winding old stairs walking up, and sense of the huge size!
The Arc de Triomphe is an amazing structure! Fantastic views from the roof, if you’re up to walking a TON of steps!
We normally like to go through museums alone, but we are very glad we did this tour. The Louvre is so gigantic that I am sure we would have been frustrated trying to go it alone Cannot believe how much this tour packed into 2.5 hours. Laura our guide was wonderful
Great view of the city, but what a climb! Spiral staircase of 275 steps, we counted. Its worth it though.
"Skip the Line" tickets gave us an opportunity to access Arc de Triomphe without any delays or queues, taking to account that we have visited it during the busiest tourists time in July. The view from the terrace is beautiful, from the top you can see most of the famous buildings around the center area, but you have to walk the stairs yourself!
Sadly, Viator didn’t notify me that the Arc De Triomphe was closed all day on my booking day. I left Paris early the next day so wasn’t able to go up. Very disappointed -but mistakes happen
We arrive at 10:30 and they informed us that no one could go up to the terrace after 10:15. My whole family was disappointed as the closing time is listed on our Viator tickets as 11pm with no other restrictions. Wasted money, wasted time, and disappointed children.
There is a small elevator (for old people like us) that will take you up and drop you at a gift shop but you walk steps to the top (not very hard)..
Security should clearly indicate elevators for disabled/elderly visitors. Poor signage. Walking on the terrace, you can see almost the whole city! Wonderful!
This was exactly as we expected! There really wasn’t a “skip the line” but made it through fairly quickly.
Great thing to do and views are wonderful. Certainly worth pre-buying the tickets so that you jump the queue. Good walk up the stairs but worthwhile, staff vey friendly and helpful. Gives you a total appreciation of Paris and good to get the layout for your other Tours and visits
I purchased 2 adult tickets to skip the line and my 2 kids under 18 entered with us for free. The line was long so we were happy to skip the line. The walk up is a bit tiring up a spiral staircase. Wear proper shoes. Once you are on top you can stay as long as you like.
Everything was super smooth and definitely worth it - highly recommend. We booked the night before and walked right in the next morning
I was a bit disappointed with this. I expected something different. But it was well worth a visit - very busy intersection.
Well worth doing skip the line. Saves alot of time. The processing of entry was KAOS and needs to be streamlined but an amazing experience
Excellent views from the top. It's a long climb but worth every step. There's really no line to skip as the only line is for security, but it's still better to have the ticket upfront.
Glad we bought tickets ahead through viator- spectacular views of the city seen from a beautiful monument
It was ok and it involved too much of climbing. I will not recommend this kind to elderly and aged and also with tourist having problems with their legs. I saw many oldies climbing and even youngsters they were panting for breath. Not worth visiting !! and even access to it by Subway is troublesome. !!
I always use Viator to book our tours and skip the line tix before heading to Europe. Every purchase, tour or tix has been a smash! I'm writing on this trip to the Arc de Triomphe because it sums up how great these are. And this was just for the tix. We planned it for the day we landed day after Christmas knowing we'd be toast and not wanting to waste any time in Paris. We dropped our bags at the hotel and walked through the Tuileries Garden, crossed the Place de la Concorde and down the Champs-Élysées to the Arch de Triomphe. We followed the signs and went underground to cross the street to find the entrance where there was a long line of people waiting to get up. I just said keep walking...as we passed them all. At the front of the line we showed out tix and instantly were flagged in the first gate. Then to security. Again, flagged in for an instant check and in. We climbed those spiral stairs only to land on the benches up on top to rest! LOL Once we regrouped knowing we needed a nap before we tackled the rest of Paris, but we walked outside to the best views you can imagine all in about 10 minutes! Amazing. We are a big fan of Viator. Use them all the time. Brian Boston
This was a self guided tour. It was worth watching the short video at the top inside to learn about the history of the Arc. I would have taken a guided tour if I had researched a good guide first. Great views of course and wonderful to learn a bit of history. It was also the day before Bastille Day so the roof top was covered in barriers and camera equipment for the next days parade. This created obstacles to move around once the terrace became more crowded. I would not recommend attending on this day if you can avoid it. The soldiers uniform museum inside is worth some time and not crowded. Most people were not interested in it though. I spent some time there while the wife was in the gift shop.
At first we didn't think it would matter to skip the line, but in Paris there are two lines for everything: 1 to buy tickets and 1 for security. Here it matters to skip the line, we walked right up to a separate entrance and separate security line. This really matters since the lines for security are longer than any line for tickets. Also, unless you are elderly or disabled, this admission is to climb about 15 flights of very narrow, winding stairs to the top. The lift is reserved for those who need it so don't think you're getting a ride to the top. If you can do this just before the monument closes for the evening the sunset is beautiful and the views from the terrace are amazing. We combined all of our Viator tours with the hop-on-hop off bus for easy transport around the city which was also money well spent.
The skip the line feature actually saved us from waiting on a really long line
Great way way to get around the lines and runs very smoothly
Ticket taker noticed that I had a special stocking on one leg broken toe and he asked if we wanted to take the elevator up to the first level. What a relief as the steps to the top were an easy climb. It's an easy place to walk around on the top. The memorial in the center was also a special place to remember the sacrifices of those in the war.
