Great tour !! Private transportation was excellent , guided tour was exciting and informative. We could’ve used an additional hour leisure time to explore the gardens if Versailles.
We selected the guided tour with a small group of 12. We visited the Kings Private Apartment and the State rooms below. The guide was excellent and lead us through the highlights of the Palace. He briefly explained the gardens and left us to explore the gardens on our own. The skip the line for this tour is a must! the lines are incredible and I actually felt guilty for skipping all the people in the line to enter, but that is what we paid for. Excellent tour guide.
We booked the Versailles Guided Tour with Hotel Pickup and glad we did. Traffic in Paris is a nightmare and having a professional drive was very much a relaxing experience. The pick up was right on schedule and the tour was excellent as well. We highly recommend using this service.
Our tour was informative and comprehensive. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The gardens are beautiful. Although our visit was shortened because of traffic caused by the metro strike, 51/2 hours was fine .
The hotel pickup and delivery to the Versailles excursion was smooth and flawless. Our tour guide, Ruben, was welcoming, funny, and full of knowledge. As everyone says of a Versailles visit, there is never enough time to see everything, but we had a good taste of the palace itself and somewhat saw the gardens. Wonderful day in Versailles.
Driver for pick up at hotel was prompt. Guide was excellent; personable and knowledgeable. Her English was easy to understand and the headsets allowed us to hear her easily.
The driver was early and provided us with a very pleasant ride to Versailles. The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgable and easy to hear and understand. We didn't have a lot of time to see the gardens as well as have lunch but overall it was an excellent package and I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to leave directly from the hotel and only has one day to spare. Well worth the money.
I have been to Versialles before, and, with a concentrated major in European history, the only reason I booked this particular tour was for the ease of transportation and the line skip. I was not let down in either respect, as the communication, professionalism and timeliness was top notch across the board. I was very pleasantly surprised, however, with the quality of the guide. Our guide was more knowledgeable and charismatic then I could have hoped for! She was pleasant, entertaining, and was great at reading the group. The only reason I rated this 4 instead of 5 was due to the group size. I expected a group of 10, maybe 15, folks. Our group was 22 people. The guide handled the group very well, but in the crowded palace it was tough to see what she was talking about at all times. RECOMMEND - after the palace, visit the gardens.
English-speaking guide Sophie was great and everyone enjoyed the visit. Of course one of the best parts was skipping all the lines.
The pickup driver, the guide, and the return driver DO NOT COMMUNICATE with each other and so we were dropped off with NO GUIDANCE OF OUR PREPAID TOUR. After spending $$$ on foreign telephone calls we finally knew about our guide. We were notified that our pickup was 20 minutes earlier and yet we had to wait 30 minutes for the guide to show up. Instead of an efficient company, they piece meal the segments and each segment DOES NOT HAVE answers about the other two. WE WILL NEVER USE VIATOR AGAIN. We like one stop shopping where the entire tour is handled by the same people and who know what is going on. Our experience was a cluster #$%^; however, once we got inside for our tour things went well. HOWEVER, finding the tour guide was a very frustrating experience. Why get picked up 20 minutes early when you had to wait 30 minutes in a location for hopefully the guide to show up. The driver knew nothing except where to drop us off. HE KNEW NOTHING ELSE and had no communication with the tour guide. As I said before, it was a big "cluster $%%^".
Our pickup was great and the guide was very informative. Only suggestions would be to inform a little better on meeting times based on tickets (there was some confusion based on those with garden tickets vs. those without) and inform everyone about the train and the ability to rent bikes and golf carts. Thanks.
Our pick up was right on time and we made it to the venue with time to spare. Gabriella was super knowledgeable and kept a good pace through a myriad of people. I would highly recommend this service!!
Having a van pick you up your hotel and return you at the end of the day was fantastic. Our tour guide, Laura (sp?), was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and very personable. We chose the full day option with Gardens access, and you are picked up at 5pm rather than 2pm. It was worth it. I only wish we'd known about the golf cart rentals so we could have covered more ground in the Gardens. There are also bicycle and scooter rentals to help you cover more ground in the massive Gardens, and you can also take the Petit Train (a shuttle) to Marie Antoinette's estate.
Was picked up on time from our hotel, was informed that they would be a little later than first booked but was on time. The trip to Versailles was informative with the driver showing us some of the Parisian sights on the way. Arrived at Versailles and was met by our tour operator who promptly took us into Versailles and once we were given our tickets she took us in and gave us head sets so that we could hear what she was telling us. She was very knowledgeable and interesting as she took us around the palace. We went for just the afternoon session but really needed a whole day day to be able to see the whole of the gardens which are massive. Once we had been taken around the palace by our tourer we were free to stay and look around the palace further, then Lyn the gardens. You can get a train from the gardens to take you further down the garden, the ques are long, you can also get a golf buggie to drive yourself again ques to get one and they are an extra cost for both of these. Versailles is very busy and lots and lots of people going around, so miss if you hate crowds, although the gardens give you relief from the crowds. Don’t let the crowds put you off going though as it was amazing afternoon and worth the trip. It is quite a way from the centre of Paris with a long drive. Do be very careful with your money and belongings in these Parisian attractions and around the out side of them as well. Can’t be more pleased with booking with this company
The skip the line for general admission was worth the price of the tour. You couldn’t hear the guide at all times even w the headphones. But that was primarily because we would get a bit separated from the guide due to the crowds. Would still recommend
The hotel pickup was great and priority access is a must. There were 3 hour waiting lines for those without the tour access. Our tour guide was great and the use of microphones for communication was amazing given the number of people and the noise inside. Highly recommend this tour as a good way to see Versailles.
