Wednesday Harlem Gospel bus tour with lunch option
Discover the history, immerse yourself in the culture and enjoy the cuisine of Harlem on this guided Gospel bus tour. The morning begins with a bus tour around Harlem, where you'll learn all about this notable New York City neighborhood. As you pass the picturesque, tree-lined streets, you'll see Columbia University, Morningside Heights neighborhood, Apollo Theater, Sugar Hill area, 125th Street and more.
Afterwards, experience the "Hour of Power", a mid-week service and concert hosted by the inspiring ARC Gospel choir. The Addicts Rehabilitation Center is the oldest drug treatment facility in the state of New York, and the choir was created to help those struggling with addiction. The ARC Gospel choir has recorded several songs, and even collaborated with Kanye West on his 2004 hit, "Jesus Walks"!
The tour concludes with a hearty lunch at Sylvia's, a Harlem staple that has been serving soul food for nearly 60 years. After lunch, you can either choose to explore the area a bit more, or be escorted back to Times Square.
