Celebrate Holi with a Local Indian Family in Delhi

The festival of colors is celebrated every year in the month of March. On Holi Indians across the nation gather together with family, peers and other relatives to fire water pistols, splash colored water and throw powder bombs on each other.

During the early hours of the day, the private chauffeur will drive you to Saffron Palate to celebrate Holi Festival with a local family. Upon arrival at the venue, you will be given a traditional Indian welcome with garlands and applying of Tikka. Amid the special Dholak and musical arrangement enjoy the Holi celebrations taking place out on the terrace. Those wanting to get involved in this game of cat and mouse will be provided with dry and wet organic colors to have a fun-frolic experience.

While the celebrations will be in full swing, you will be served with traditional homemade specialties like gujiya and mathri along with soft drinks. After a bombardment of powder bombs and shower of water in every imaginable color, there is time for lunch. During lunch treat your taste buds with finger licking vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. After lunch, to sweeten the mouth, have mouthwatering “Spongy/Bengali Rasgulla”.

After lunch and amazing Holi celebrations head back to the hotel.
