Following a 9am pickup at your centrally located Nairobi hotel, transfer to a Masai village in the Ngong Hills to begin your 7.5-hour tour. On arrival, meet your guide and learn of the intricate and ornate jewelry that symbolises the Masai’s cultural heritage.

Sheltered in the cool of acacia trees, learn some of the skills of Masai jewelry-making. Make your own Masai wristband under guidance from your guide, using the colour codes observed by the Masai themselves.

Perhaps take part in a traditional Masai singing and dancing ceremony. Then — your handmade jewellery as a memento of the day — return in comfort to your Nairobi hotel to conclude your tour.

What a wonderful day. Carol from One horizon came to pick us up at our hotel and we drove for an hour and 30 minutes outside Nairobi to spend the day with a Masai family. We learned about their traditions and their lifestyle. The family was very happy to meet us and even sang happy bday to me. After, we sat under an acacia tree and made bracelets. The weather was pleasant. Carol was more than nice. She brought coffee, Kenyan donuts, and bottles of water for us. At some point, we felt connected to one another and we laughed while making our bracelets. Carol is so sweet. She answered so many questions we had for her. Even after she dropped us at our hotel, we had more questions for her and she answered all of them. Great tour ! BOOK!!!!
