Rezensionen
I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-Day Yasawa and Mamanuca Island Adventure. I was picked up by a taxi from my hotel and driven to another hotel to be picked up by bus and driven to Port Denarau, where I checked in and boarded the boat for my first destination. The first stop was the Oarsman Bay Lodge, where I was treated like one of the family and called by name by all the smiling staff, there was a snorkelling trip to the Blue Lagoon and snorkelling in a cave included in the cost. The meals were delicious and were catered to your personal tastes. The bure I stayed in was excellent with air-conditioning and a comfortable bed and hammock outside if needed. While at Oarsmans I walked along the beach for about 30 minutes to visit a village where I was welcomed with Bula by everyone I saw and even some I did not see who were inside houses, this walk along the beach needs to be done at low tide. There was excellent snorkelling on a reef straight off the beach in front of the resort. The next stop was the Korovou Eco-Tour Resort. The accommodation and meals were very good, however the bar only had beer and soft drinks, no spirits. The cost included a trip to the Coral Gardens and was well worth the trip there was no ladder to get back into the boat, which may be a problem for some people. There was an excellent reef directly in front of the lodge for some great snorkelling. The last resort was the Beach Comber Island Resort. The Bure I had on this island was extremely spacious and was on a beautiful white sandy beach, just a couple of metres from the water. There is a definite party atmosphere on this island. The food was OK and served buffet style. An included cruise on the Seapspray was very good and included an amazing lunch cooked barbeque style on the back of the boat. While the transfer from hotel to the port and to and from the islands were very professional, efficient and seamless, there was a slight problem on my return transfer , where I was dropped off at a hotel and then I was supposed to have a pre booked and paid for taxi for my final transfer to my hotel. There was no taxi waiting, as promised, and there was a stressed lady who was already at the hotel waiting for a taxi as well, which of course never arrived and we were fortunate to be staying at the same hotel and shared the taxi fare. In the scale of the whole trip this was a minor inconvenience and did not detract from the overall experience and I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.
An awesome experience though we had booked for standard accommodation and our first stop was Nabua Lodge was Budget accommodation??
Fantastic experience. Would recommend to go for more than just the basic accommodation as the facilities were less than basic in some places. The timing and organisation of events were very much 'Fiji Time'. Some events were too difficult to fit in when they were scheduled on the day of departure from an Island. I missed out on several included events because of this. Overall an enjoyable experience, but would definitely opt for a more inclusive package next time.
