Sunrise at Pyramids of Teotihuacan & Basilica of Guadalupe - Small Group

The religiosity of the Mexican people is attached to their skin. Since pre-Columbian times this people worshipped to different divinities among which stood out the God of sun, the God of water and the Goddess of flowers. When the Spanish people arrive there, a new religion was imposed and with the same fervor of yesteryear, a great number of images continue to be venerated among which the Virgin of Guadalupe stands out. Julia Travel takes you to discover two of the most enigmatic and interesting places in Mexico: the Pyramids of Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Guadalupe.

We will start de tour picking you up in your hotel at the agreed time (we will confirm by telephone your pick up time, depending on the location of the hotel, the time will be between 07.30 AM – 08.00 AM) and we will head to the north part of Mexico, taking the route to Teotihuacan, located at 45 km distance from Mexico City. We will arrive at this point before the arrival of most of the tourist coaches that crowded this place normally. We can enjoy the tranquility of the "City of the Gods", as it was called by its ancient settlers. Teotihuacan, is without doubt one of the most impressive places in the Mesoamerican world, due to its majestic buildings and advanced urbanization. One of the most amazing moments will be arrive walking at the base of the Pyramid of the Sun, and be impressed by the beauty and harmony of this magnificent building. Although the city was founded 400 years BC, its architects visualized from the beginning a city of great dimensions, that counted on an advanced urbanization and where the political, religious, commercial and the elite of the Society of the time lived together. Maybe, they could never imagine that after centuries, this city would be a model of construction for other cities.

The “Calzada de los Muertos” is the main artery of the city and is the starting point for residences, temples and other buildings.

After the visit, there is 30 minutes free time for shots, shoping or other activities. At 12:00H our transportation will take us to a restaurant Buffet-style (lunch is included in the price, the beverages are not included).

At 14:00H we will return to Mexico City to visit one of the most visited pilgrim places in the world: the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Here we will discover part of the syncretism resulting from the mixture of religions and beliefs of the people of Mexico. The visit will be unforgettable if we open our senses and let ourselves be surrounded by the looks of immense adoration and great fervor that the faithful profess to the Mexican virgin. A visit plent of emotion if we try to understand the tears of those who come to ask or to thank the favors and miracles to the patron of Mexico. The old and the modern Basilica live together on the same place, each one in its style is imposed on the immense Plaza Mariana.
