We really enjoyed the tours from Lisbon. Excellent places to eat recommended by our tour guides. Could not be better. Highly recommended. Cheers to Andres and Juan.
Pedro was our tour guide for Sintra and Cascais. Rui was our tour guide to Fátima, Nazaré, and Óbidos. Both trips were wonderful. The staff at Inside Lisbon has engineered excellent small-group tours that allows its customers to customize their own itineraries with the allotted time provided at each destination. Because our tour language was Spanish, my family met Spanish and Argentine nationals, which allowed us to have the fun experience of communicating and cracking jokes in our native language while travelling though central Portugal. Please be advised that in Sintra, due to overtourism, expect varying wait times. During your visit, I highly recommend Quinta da Regaleira over the Palácio Nacional de Sintra. Both are beautiful but the prior is more stunning than the latter. The only drawback I felt was during our second trip to Fátima, Nazaré, and Óbidos. Our tour guide said that the Sanctuary of Fátima, unlike the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, did not sell religious articles on-site. They do...and some items were cheaper than the ones at the factory that we were taken to, namely the figurines. In my opinion, the tour guide should have clarified by saying that the items in the factory are more diverse than those at the sanctuary and filing the tax-free paperwork is easier at the factory than the sanctuary. The misinformation made me feel ill at ease. On a personal note, if I could change one aspect of our family trip, it would be lunch in Nazaré. The beach town has a fabulous beach and, if you come prepared with bathing gear and towels, you can enjoy it as opposed to eat lunch, which was good but a waste of time.
We just got back from a couples trip to Lisbon. The two-day tour really gives you a taste of Portugal. Lisbon is a beautiful city but these day trips give you a more fulsome taste of the country's history and lifestyles of the locals. We'd highly recommend the tour. Just the right amount of time at each stop. So many great pictures and memories.
We had a wonderful time on our two day Viator trip mainly because of our guide, Joao Ferrao (who we nicknamed Bruno!), The sights were amazing but Joao made sure that everyone's needs were met from a language point of view (he had to narrate the tour in English and Spanish on the second day's trip) as well as concerning himself with our comfort and safety. I would highly recommend Viator for any trips in Portugal and ask for Joao. Terry and Susan
It was great to have our guide Migual and Joao, both of them are very knowledgable, my husband enjoyed a lot on that 2-day tour.
João was a great tour guide. He knew what to recommend and where to find it. He was concerned for us a clients. I highly rate this tour and guide!
Our two days of tours started with Sintra and Cascais. Our guide was Nuno. Sintra and Pena Palace were well-covered, Nuno's English was excellent, and he knew the history/significance of all the places we visited. A great day. On our second day, we visited Fatima, Obidos,, Nazare, and the lighthouse near Nazare where world-record surfing occurs. Ricardo was our guide, and like Nuno, his English and expertise were awesome. We felt that the time and money spent were well worth it. Great tours, great locations, great times. Highly recommend.
Both tours were excellent although Sintra was way too crowded to fully enjoy. The small group tours are much better than large bus tours. Nuno was a great guide for Fatima, Nazare and Obidos and provided excellent narratives.
Tour guide: Vlad and Padro. They are great guides. Great 2 days tours visiting many cities surrounding Lisbon. So much history of Portugal. Very nice comprehensive tour of cities. Palace of Pena, just amazing. Fatima is very nice religious place. Beaches are amazing. View from cliff was just breath taken. This is very organized tour by 2 gentlemen scholars.
A great tour of the cities with its unique history. Sintra - old city, with an elaborate Kings ( Ferdinand ) palace, and good shopping. Cascais, where the rich and famous play. Estoril. Fatima, Obidos and Nazare.Tour guides excellent !
