Sekumpul Waterfalls is one of the best places to visit in Bali. It is magnificent and refreshing to be in the fresh water. I would highly recommend it. Our tour guide Asta was phenomenal. He is fun loving, and loved to take pictures, especially the romantic ones. He made the day extremely fun. Highly recommend.
This was a breathtaking trip. Our driver was excellent and prompt with pickup and very friendly. The first spot on the tour was the rice paddies of Ubud which provided a nice photo opportunity. Next was a coffee plantation where several other spices were also grown. The tour was very interesting as well as trying the different coffees and tea. The volcanic soil makes it easy to grow anything up there. Then it was on to breakfast over looking a scenic inactive volcano. After breakfast was a long drive before the Sekumpul Waterfalls hiking tour. A great local guide took us to see two waterfalls and he was outstanding. Both were breathtaking and the water was cool and refreshing. The scenery all over the drive was nice to look at and our driver stopped whenever we requested to try local produce or stop for water. Anybody going to Bali must do this trip. It's a nice escape and an efficient way to see all of the sites.
For us it was the most memorable experience in Bali. Swimming under the waterfall was awesome, also the local guide at Sekumpul told us a lot about their village, local life. The hike for us was quite simple even through it was really hot outside. Also we encountered a snake not far from the waterfall, but it quickly disappeared in the forest. The guide/driver also described some aspects of Balinese culture and traditions. Don't be shy and ask questions! :
