The guided walking tour will take you through one of the most magnificent excavations in the world. See the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan; enter a section of the steam baths of Scholastika, the temple of Hadrian and the impressive library of Celsius. The library is adorned with columns and statues. You will also visit to Terrace Houses in Ephesus ancient city. Terrace Houses are located on the slopes of Bulbul Mountain, opposite the Hadrian Temple. Also called as "the houses of rich", these houses were for the important and wealthy people of Ephesus, as only rich people could afford such houses. After Terrace Houses you will continue to The Grand Theater, where St. Paul preached, being the largest theater in antiquity with a capacity of 24,000 seats. Also, you will visit to Artemission. The Temple of Artemis is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Antic world. It has been built in the areas of Ephesus on a flat area which has over the centuries turned into a swamp.

Today one can only see the ruins of the foundations of this marvelous construction of the Hellenistic Age, entirely made of marble and full of sculptured columns' capitals and shafts. The most beautiful remaining of this temple are today exhibited in the London British Museum. Next See, Selcuk / Ephesus Archaeological Museum where you can see a lot ancient furnitures, sculptures, mosaics, frescos and more.After all the visits, you will go back to port of Kusadasi.

Wonderful excursion. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Be certain to see the Terrace Houses. Also, although it was interesting to see how carpets are woven and silk is removed from cocoons, the sales pitch is lengthy and should be eliminated . We were really a captive audience to a point that we insisted that we leave. My husband had fallen on slippery steps earlier and was in considerable pain. He was offered a bag of ice by the rug seller. That was very kind. However, we were not of a mind to sit as long as we did and our guide knew we needed to return to the ship because of my husband's serious fall and we needed to pack.
