Kealakekua Bay/Capt Cook Schnorchel-Tour – Reise nach Süden zu einem Meereslebensraum namens Kealakekua Bay und Heimat des Captain Cook Monuments. Auf dem Weg dorthin halten wir an H istorischen Orten und sprechen über lokale Legenden und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wenn es die Meeresbedingungen erlauben, betreten wir die Meereshöhlen. In der Kealakekua Bay angekommen, schnorcheln wir dort für ca. 1 Stunde. Gäste können mit Meeresschildkröten, bunten Rifffischen, Korallen, die über 1500 Jahre alt sind, dem Captain Cook Monument, Süßwasserquellen und auf der Suche nach hawaiianischen Spinnerdelfinen rechnen, die leicht über Hunderte von starken Schoten laufen können. Mittagspakete, Snacks und Erfrischungen sind auf dem Boot vorhanden.

Über das Schnorcheln mit wilden Delfinen
Es gibt ca. 1.000 Spinnerdelfine, die das Big Island Waters zu Hause nennen. Gefleckte Delfine, Grindwale und kleine Schoten von pazifischen Tümmlern sind ebenfalls häufig in diesen Gewässern zu finden. Es besteht eine 95-prozentige Chance, dass Sie mit Delfinen schwimmen und ihnen begegnen können. Die Spinnerdelfine sind nachtaktive Esser und kehren bis zum Morgengrauen nahe an die Ufer zurück. Wenn der Kapitän auf eine Gruppe von Delfinen trifft, erhalten Sie und die Wasserführer die Erlaubnis, zu schnorcheln.

Sorgenfreier Landausflug: Wir sorgen dafür, dass Sie rechtzeitig wieder zum Hafen von Kailua Kona gelangen. Falls Sie dennoch das Schiff verpassen sollten, veranlassen wir, dass Sie zum nächsten Hafen, in dem das Schiff anlegt, gebracht werden. So much fun. We saw saw so many Dolphins. While snorkeling we saw eels and lots of fish! Water was very clear. The captain and his team were nice, helpful and provided everything you needed. They took us along the coastline and showed us additional landmarks as well as Captain Cook monument. All around excellent excursion. I definitely recommend this one if you are trying to decide which one to pick.

For anyone that likes snorkeling this is a trip you will want to do. We snorkeled and saw several dozen dolphins including some that came pretty close up. The reef was very clear and had interesting fishes.

Dre and Captain Laura were great! Due to confusion on our part, they accommodated us by picking us up at an alternate site. While watching out for our safety, they provided good instruction on use of the equipment and how to exit the boat. We had ample time to snorkel at the Captain Cook site. Both Dre and Laura provided good information about the sites we visited. While the dolphins were not at the expected sites, they caught sight of a pod on the way back to the harbor. We took a few minutes to watch them as swam past us. We would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was one of the highlights of my Hawaiian adventure. We saw 4 dolphin pods and were able to view one of the pods in the water. Captain Laura and first mate Dre were the best crew. This tour is different from others as it is very respectful of the dolphins and will not chase them.

True to what they say! We were able to swim with the spinner Dolphins and check out some cool reefs and underwater caves!

This was the highlight of our trip! The staff was amazing and very fun to be around. It didnt take long for them to find the dolphins and we got to swim with them for about an hour. It was amazing!!!! They were so close!! and there were dozens of them! We also got to see other landmarks and snorkel in clear blue water. Well worth our money.
