At 7.00, our guide welcome you and start biking out of Hanoi, we get on Eiffel bridge, was built in 1902 by the French architect Gustave Eiffel. Before Vietnam's independence in 1954, it was called Doumer Bridge, named after Paul Doumer. Proudly spanning the red river for one hundred years and having withstood several attacks in times of war. Eiffel bridge has been a witness of the bravery of Vietnamese people and deserves to be a symbol of Hanoi in the present era of peace and integration. We will truly enjoy cycling along Eiffel bridge and looking down at the activities of the locals under the bridge.
Biking around 8km to enjoy countryside and reaching the Duong river, is a brand of ''
Song Hong= Red River",we have a good chance to take some nice photos as well as know about rice farming and rural life in Vietnam, understand about a real meaning "Ha Noi= Hanoi", the city is surrounded by the red river,.
Around 9.00, getting on the new bridge to cross Duong river, it will take around 10 minutes and we can know that it's best way (shortcut) to go for the local as well as business people doing everyday, keep biking 4 km more to reach "
Co Loa= Ancient Citadel", it dates back to ancient Vietnam and boasts impressive towers, relics and ruins. It is steeped in myth and legend, making it an important landmark in northern Vietnam. The site consists of two outer walls protecting the castle inside.
It is home to a number of ancient relics which have been unearthed by excavations throughout the years. Important artifacts include Dong Son style pottery and a large drum full of bronze items. These objects are extremely rare and therefore attract people from all over Asia.
Today, the castle is fiercely protected by Vietnamese archeological groups. It is open to tourists and should be explored if you are in the area. Despite being a historically important and architecturally beautiful building, it is still not visited by many tourists, which means that you will have the freedom to explore it in virtual privacy. The grounds are almost as impressive as the castle itself, with landscaped gardens surrounded by the ancient walls. It is not hard to picture it when it would have been in its full glory.
On the way back, visit and biking through the Old village to see some very Old houses and green rice field, Papaya garden.
Around 12.00 having lunch with local food or special Hanoi Noodle ( Pho ), then biking the road back to your hotel and end your trip around 14.30.
