Adrienne was a great guide, she knew all the history of the city, which is what we were interested in, and passed it on in an interesting and entertaining way. Great 3 hours, walked off plenty of beers and sausages.
We always do a walking tour when we visit a new city for the first time in order to introduce us to the history and this walking tour did not fail. It rained for some of the time but did not spoil the walk. It was certainly a small group walking tour as there was only my husband, myself and the guide David who was very knowledgeable. I think the rain must have put people off. This tour is a must as we went to places that we would have otherwise missed or walked past such as the Bishop's Tower, the ruins of which are in the basement of a bakery or the poodle on top of a building, David talked about the beginnings of Hamburg to the present day. We started at the Rathause (Hamburg City Hall) and ended the tour The Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall stopping taking at various historical sites where we learned about the history and architecture. The 3 hours went far to quick and David gave us some suggestions as to were to go to get the best of Hamburg. We highly recommend this tour, well worth the money and want to thank David for a fantastic tour.
We had a three hour walking tour with Anna. She was very good. We saw a variety of sights and she was knowledge about all of it. She was also helpful in getting us on the correct train.
