Great Fun, Learned a lot, cooking class and entertainment rolled into one. Walk though the market was enlightening and saw a lot of food varieties.
Gloria and Isaak were both fantastic! We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - highly recommended.
My fiancee and I LOVED this tour. We did lots of different attraction tours, boat rides, and activities on a three week engagement vacation. This was our favorite. Gloria is so kind and helpful. Going through the markets was a ton of fun. Issac was funny and incredibly informative. Learning not just how to make something, but how to make something using various items you'll have also back at your home when you get back is incredibly helpful. I almost didn't book this - thinking 'we know how to cook' - you will learn so much, have so much fun, and never forget the taste of your own food made in a BEAUTIFUL villa. I promise you, you need to do this tour with these folks and enjoy a wonderful day.
The cooking class in Florence was the only thing we scheduled while in Italy! This class is a MUST! We had so much fun. The day started off by meeting the group then heading to a local market to pick out our products. Our tour guide, Isaac, explained all of the food we were purchasing and gave us Italian history surrounding all of the food. After that, we went to the Tuscan farmhouse which has a SPECTACULAR view of Florence. The class allowed you to partake as much or as little as you wanted to. They explained each step very well and allowed for a welcoming fun environment. After all the courses were cooked, we sat down as a group and ate it all. The food was delicious (as was the red wine)!!
This was probably one of the best days in Italy! Everyone was very nice on the tour, my whole family enjoyed the experience. People were very friendly. Good for families, couples, or friends.
My wife and I attended this class together and we had a great time. We had mixed expectations about this class going into it but when the day was over we very happy that we did it. Our main tour guide/chef was Isaac. He was informative, knowledgeable and entertaining..It was well worth the time and money. Bon appetite!
Gloria and Issac made pasta making so much fun! I highly recommend this class! The food, wine, and view is wonderful!
Martina and Isak were delightful...we felt we knew them for years. Every minute of this class was enjoyable and instructive. Our family has a passion for cooking and we were in our realm. Thank you both for an amazing day...come visit us in Colorado! Danny and Paula
I highly reccomend this activity for everyone visiting Tuscany and Florence. This was perfect day spent with our friendly guide Gloria, extraordinary chef Carmela and random great and fun worldwide tourist crew. We had a lot of fun preparing the lunch and we enjoyed great meal, wine and the environment. Great experince! Loved it!
I consider myself an experienced cook and I learned quite a few excellent tips. My daughter and I had a lovely time. Issac was our chef and instructor and he was excellent and humorous as well. I highly recommend this experience.
Don't miss out on this great experience! Elisa and Carmela were outstanding!! Our entire family (including 2 teenage daughters) had a great time. Well organized, informative, lots of hands on time and guidance in the farmhouse kitchen and topped off with a wonderful meal in beautiful countryside with lots of delicious wine. A must do!!
Eveything was excellent with the tour except for one thing. When the bus brought us back, they didn't tell us they were leaving us in another locaton across town from where they picked us up. It was unexpected.
Gloria and Carmella made for an exceptional experience! One of our favorite events during our stay in Florence. Would gladly do another tour with them as our hosts! Highly recommend!
Excellent day out starts at local market with interesting info on local produce then off to a beautiful farmhouse to cook with Issac and supported by Elisa the guide. Plenty to do and interesting lots of interaction. End the day with a great meal and plenty of Chianti.
Amazing, fantastic, wonderful tour from beginning to end. Loved everything about it especially the guides. Top notch. Best day we had in Italy!
This cooking/lunch class exceeded all expectations. Izak and Carmella were a perfect team. Glorious memories! Not to miss!
Really enjoyed this experience. Good people, beautiful location; Isaac and Carmella are fantastic together! Money well spent; learned a lot; such a wonderful day!
Where to begin? We had no expectations when it came to this class/tour. It was well worth every penny. Isak and Carmela were absolutely fabulous. They made us all feel so welcome and at ease. The market tour was so fun, and even the bus ride to the farmhouse was exceptional! The class itself is so relaxed, but informative. Lots of great food and wine! I will absolutely be recommending this to all of my friends that travel to Italy. Can’t wait to go back!!!!
My boyfriend was not looking forward to this excursion but he had the best time! Really enjoyed the market tour and we duplicated our meal for his family in April. Isaak and Carmella were great teachers. .
Receipts, teacher (jack) , place, crew, team, ingridients, wine ....all amazing and well recommended experience. The only " to improve" is that I was expecting to go to the supermarket but never happend :(. However it was so amazing that I can live without it ...lol
LOVED this cooking class with my daughter. Was a little apprehensive at first when an AMERICAN showed up to give the tour - not to worry. Isaac was amazing! A knowledgeable Italian chef and funny too. A great compliment to Carmella at the Farmhouse. They were quite a pair. Amazing food, beautiful view, and learned new skills. Along with a fabulous lunch. Just note, that WALKING is involved. From the pick-up location to the market and again when they drop you off on the other side of town - not at original location. Highly recommend!
This cooking class is fantastic! Isak and Carmela team up to create a humorous, entertaining, and informative day. We had a blast! The day starts with a trip to the market to get the supplies for the class. The market is a must-see. We then took a bus to the farm and spent the day drinking wine, singing with Carmela, laughing at Isak's comments, and meeting great people. This was one of the highlights of our trip! Ron and Jane
This was the most fun ever! From shopping at the market, to preparing the food, to mingling with the guides/chefs and other travelers, and of course drinking wine and eating the meal, the whole experience was just amazing. Do not miss this!
This was the highlight of the trip! Carmela and Martina were so entertaining and the food turned out delicious! I definitely recommend doing this tour!
From first gathering to meet Isaac and the tour of the market to the final hike up to the waiting bus returning our group to Florence this was the best day possible. The camaraderie, the lessons and the food were a delight. Carmelo was singing and dancing while teaching straight forward cooking techniques . What a trip! Then Isaac translating with his humorous interpretation . The venue was impressive and the views- the views!! This was a great experience and I hope that I will be able to return!
This was an incredible experience for my wife and I. We are on our honeymoon and this was one of our favorite days from start to finish. Isaac taught the whole group so much while walking through the Central market there in Florence. Once we got up to the kitchen which was Nestled up in the hills with a gorgeous view it was absolutely perfect. We met Carmella who is a little sunflower filled with energy and makes the whole experience fun and memorable. Would absolutely reccomend this to anyone who has extra time in Florence. Don't forget, unlimited supply of Chianti Classico ♥️
There are not enough stars in the sky for this course. It was fantastic -- everything I could have asked for and more. Isak and Carmella are quite the team. We had a fascinating tour through the market and then took all our purchases up to a beautiful villa overlooking Florence to turn them into the best meal I've eaten in decades. This is a must-do in Florence!
Our day cooking with Carmela and Isak was one of the best days we had on our recent trip to Italy. It started with a very informative tour of the open market where bread, produce, and meat was selected. We then headed to a Tuscan commercial kitchen in a farmhouse not too far away with breathtaking views. The Farmhouse has amazing cooking facilitites for students to actually prepare ingredients for dinner. Carmela and Isak were entertaining as they gave direction on every step of the preparation stages. Students helped, drank a little wine, and enjoyed interacting and cooking. It was fun and light (no pressure). Once everything was ready, everyone contributed their own efforts to create community culinary, then we were served beautiful meals from stuff we created!!!! So Fun! One of the highest highlighs from our trip (and best photos)!! Will urge anyone headed to Tusdany to try this class,Thank you to Isak, Carmela, and the crew that kept everything moving, cleaned, and organized. The site was so beautiful, making cooking so much fun!!Great event!! When we get back to Florence, we will take this class again!!
We had a great time on this cooking class and market tour. Isak and Carmelo we’re both really great, fun hosts and even better chefs! Highly recommend!
Chef Isak has a great sense of humour and gave great history and cooking tips throughout our time. We made pesto, bruschetta, pasta, ragu, pork loin, and finally, tiramisu! The food was excellent, and we enjoyed our time at the beautiful farmhouse.
Just enjoyed the local market tour and cooking class with friends - a great time was had by all. I recommned the tour as an excellant introduction to basic Italian cooking and ingredients. Be aware that there is some walking involved - about a mile and most on flat surfaces
This was our first experience with a cooking class. Isaac and Carla are great hosts. Touring the love market it the tree ingredients as atrea. The Texan estate as facilities are beautiful. The gusts were from all over and the food and wine were delicious Highly recommend the tour.
