Brian was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I would recommend doing this tour early in your trip, as he provided lots of interesting historical facts about Ireland and insight into Irish culture. There was plenty of time to visit the sites, that I must add, are worth revisiting.
Loved the drive - beautiful scenery. St Kevin's site was great as was the Kilkenny Castle - We enjoyed our walk around Kilkenny town. We weren't enamored with our tour guide. Tried asking her a couple of questions but thought she was not interested in answering our questions or even talking to us. We also were a touch irritated by the fact that the last 15-20 minutes both the driver and the guide got quite animated and were saying how great each other were (when in fact they did not know each other before this) and then started talking about tips and giving great reviews. We almost didn't leave a tip because of this. In fact I tip extra for NOT asking. I am selecting friends but I was my daughter and myself on this trip to Ireland. You need a better multiple choice
Very interesting tour . The guide was very helpfull. A wonderfull nature, and a historical walking tour round in Kilkenny town to see the church and narrow streets.
We did three during our stay in Dublin, and this was the least impressive of the three. Good scenery in the mountains and a good stop at the historical site in Glendalough. Kilkenny is an interesting town but, other than the castle not an outstanding part of the trip. If we did it again I would pick another tour.
A very enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide and excellent driver. The Wicklow Mountains seen essentially from the bus window as we drove by were nice, but for us the tour highlight was Glendalough. We chose to wander with our guide to hear his lectures about the area while some others in our group freely roamed on their own. The only disappointment was self-imposed since we didn't fully realize that the Kilkenny stop was simply a drop off and pick up. We assumed there would be some type of organized tour in Kilkenny but instead we were simply told where to meet the bus a few hours later. There is plenty to do in the town tour the castle, enjoy the Smithwicks experience, shop, but since we didn't develop a plan on our own we mostly wandered the town and ended up not having time to do anything specific.
This tour was amazing!
Amazing !! I really appreciated the day ! it was perfect !
This was a beautiful tour with a great destination! Plenty of time in Kilkenny. Would have liked a little more time in Glendalough. Would have given it 5 stars if the tour guide wouldn't have given his personal religious views into his commentary.
This tour on October 9th was absolutely wonderful. Our guide and driver were excellent. This was a perfect way to spend my last day and to share some time with a lovely person from Ireland.
