Our bus was super clean and very modern and nice. Our guide Kim was excellent--helpful to all and very knowledgeable making the long trip most enjoyable. Likewise our driver, Paulo, was super nice, very helpful and did a great job driving in difficult conditions. Overall, a great trip and we would gladly go again with Kim and Paulo.
Our guide and driver were fantastic! Ains and James really made the trip exciting and educational. I've used other tour companies, but these two were really great.
The tour company is very good. The bus was modern, Nick and James, our tour guide and driver, respectively, were amazing. Nick had a lot of useful info that made the driving time pass while we were entertained. He played Irish music, shared history, data of our route, played an Irish movie and gave a lot of recommendations for Galway and Dublin. It is highly recommended.
I enjoy this tour, good tourist guide and driver, I recommend this tour to my friends and will come back.
The beauty and frustration of Ireland. Richard is a fantastic tour guide. Full of information, friendly, light hearted and gave us some great suggestions. Unfortunately, the whole day was rainy and foggy at the Cliffs; can't control that. Just makes me want to come back!
This tour was everything and then some! Our tour guide Seamus and driver Damien were incredible... funny, knowledgeable and kept all 50+ people on schedule - which is a task in and of itself. Both had great recommendations for Galway, best views of the Cliffs and even what to do when we got back to Dublin. The weather was perfect as well, allowing us to really get great views of the Cliffs... Absolutely the highlight of my trip!
We covered a lot of ground on this tour, but none of it felt rushed. The cliffs were amazing and the visitor’s center explained a lot. Galway was perfect. Opt for the free walking tour provided. Caroline was fabulous. Have fun in New Orleans!
This was a great tour! It was a full day trip to see Cliffs of Moher, the Burrens and Galway. You get a couple of hours at both the Cliffs and Galway which allows you enough time at both stops. While on the way to the Burrens and Galway, the bus tours the Atlantic Way, which is an absolutely beautiful ride - highly recommend!
The cliffs were nice to see. It was incredibly windy. It was a long day in the bus, but our guide Seamus made it so much better. He was wonderful and very informative.
Incredible tour. The sights were breathtaking but the company and tour guide behind this particular tour were exceptional. Highly recommend wild rover bus tours, especially if you get lucky to have the tandem of Derrick and Sheamus.
The scenery was absolutely fantastic, tour guide and driver did a great job keeping all the soggy passengers happy and entertained, even putting on some nice music for part of the drive. I highly recommend this tour with Wild Rover Tours - and for guests to bring full rain gear!
We had a great day on our tour to Galway with Nick as our guide and Richard our driver. The only let down was the weather at the Cliffs of Mohr was so bad that we couldn't see very much.
Your was exactly as described. Great way to get a flavour of these wonderful places if you have a short time in Ireland. I wish they had a tour that just covered the Cliffs and Burren and skipped Galway all together so there was more time. But that’s just personal preference. Guide Tanya don driver Sean were amazing!
My friend and I took the Wild Rover day tours with Kim (different drivers) one day to Cliffs of Moher, etc and the other day to Belfast and other areas. Both times, Kim really tried to keep the bus group happy, not an easy task. She also gave excellent recommendations for dinner. The scenery is so awesome and this is one tour not to miss.
The tour itself was great; the Cliffs are fantastic, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate (which it did not). However, our guide Tanya had the wherewithal to offer to cut the Cliffs portion short and extend our stay in Galway due to the weather, which was great and very much appreciated. The reduction from 5 to 4 is primarily due to the driver. First, I will say that I fully respect the difficulty of driving a large tour bus over narrow and winding Irish country roads. That being said, at our first stop we were told the bus would be open 20 minutes prior to our scheduled departure - as it was raining very heavily, many of us opted to get on the bus early, but ended up waiting 15 minutes in the rain while (we were told) the bus driver was getting a cup of coffee. Secondly, while the winding nature of the roads can’t be helped, of course, it seemed to us that the drivers use of the brakes was suspect; he was constantly coming to jolting stops whenever he needed to stop to allow traffic to pass. I get the need to stop, of course, it was simply the lack of smoother braking that was problematic, especially as many on board were having some motion sickness issues (which, admittedly, can’t be 100% attested to the driver’s driving ability). That being said, Tanya was delightful and informative, and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this tour as I believe our issues can be avoided in the future
Our guide Damian and our driver where excellent taking us over the West Coast while describing the history and geography of the region. Unfortunately we could not have a good view of the cliffs due to the thick fog, but on our way to Galway we stopped and took wonderful pictures of the limestone landscape and the Atlantic Ocean view. It is a one day trip well worth experiencing
Great trip.Emma (the tour guide) and Damo (the bus driver who kept his cool and was very professional getting us through numerous traffic issue) were both excellent.. Cliffs of Moher and Galway were very interesting. I would highly recommend this trip.
Such a great tour! The sites were great, the commentary was awesome and the guide and driver were fabulous! Murphy and Damo were great and really made the tour fun and special! My only complaint is I wish we would have had more time in Galway! Other than that, the day was perfect!
Great exciting and informative Tour!!l Lesa and John were awesome and very entertaining! We learned a lot about the region! We enjoyed Lesa’s recommendations for ice cream and local eateries. I would definitely recommend Lesa and John as tour guides! Lesa is a plethora of knowledge!!!
Noel, our tour guide for the day was an excelent and exceptional individual who had very good historical facts and stories of the Irish culture and historical events dating back a thousand years. The bus tour, driven by Symon, was excelent, he's a great driver. Points of intrest where shared with us all throughout the day. All the stops have significant influence on the Irish people and their heritage. It was great. Thank you both for making our day an experience.
The tour is on time, the bus seat is comfortable, the tour guide and driver are great, personally feel Cliff of Moher is nice but a lil bit overrated, the view is good but there is nothing else. We had enough time walking around the cliff and the souvenir shop. Galway City is a happening town and worth a visit, 2h is just nice including a light meal there, a lot of street performance. It takes 4h to go to Cliff of Moher and another 4h back to Dublin, so depart early is really a correct choice so that the entire trip is not rush at all. Overall a good experience :)
This was an excellent full day tour. The bus trip was really awesome and entertaining with a great guide Dave, who gave us great insights about Ireland and excellent driver – Marshall who drove us safely and on time to all the destinations. I wish we could have done another tour with them! The cliffs are fabulous and beautiful, but visiting Burren National Park and Galway for shopping and food was great experience too. We had just the right amount of time at each stop, and were very fortunate to have perfect weather all day! I greatly recommend this tour!
The Cliffs of Moher are obviously a must-see, and Wild Rover tours was a great way to see them! Our tour guide Kevin and driver Damien were exceptional. Kevin was hilarious and had endless, fascinating information about the history of Ireland. Galway was also a very cute town—get the fish and chips at McDonaugh's and the ice cream at Murphy's! Overall, highly recommend this tour.
Sean abs PJ were our guides and were knowledgeable, and fun! The Cliffs were beautiful and the Galway was charming. Great day!
We loved our tour with Wild Rover to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway! Kevin was fun and informative, and the sites were all we could have hoped for. The only reason for the four stars was that eachs top felt pretty rushed, and there was a LOT of time on the bus. This might be laid out more clearly in the description, so people realize that most of the day will be spent in riding from place to place.
This is a wonderful day trip with much to see. Our guide was very informative and interesting. I would highly recommend it.
My friend and I went on this tour a few days ago and absolutely loved every second of it. Our tour guide Seamus was amazing. He kept cracking jokes the whole time and made all of the Irish history much more interesting than a dull lesson. We’ve been on another tour company in Dublin and they were nothing compared to this one. Excellent craic!
Had a very good tour to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway in June/19. Our guide Nick was very good and his partner driver Joe was good as well. Despite the dreary day in Dublin, by the time we arrived at The Cliffs it was somewhat sunny, 207 Kms from Dublin which made a difference. Breath taking views at the cliffs, however the last 50 kms to get to the Cliffs had hair pin turns and is definitely NOT for people who are prone to motion sickness, five (5) people were sick on the bus. The bus as well, could have been more customer friendly by having cup holders or mesh on the seat in front to hold a pop can/ snacks which many tour buses do. The tour was long, 13 hours but Nick played Irish music over the speakers and sang on his guitar, which was fun. Be prepared for a long day, only one rest stop down and back so watch liquid intake, but a must to see!!!!
TheCliffs are stunningly beautiful and the only way I could have got there was on tour. But, the assembly line of buses in the morning to start your tour is confusing. The tour guide was not the least bit helpful and was only concerned about keeping 17 students together. People were anxious about getting on the bus and he wasn’t very forthcoming with information and seemed to resent us. This continued throughout the tour when we had to be placed on a different bus ( long story) and again the tour guide only cared about his 17 students. I felt we were treated like a herd of cattle.
Spectacular tour that I highly recommend. The bus was very clean and comfortable and tour guide gave helpful tips and information while driving. When you get to Cliffs of Moher, make sure and go to left (when facing water) first as its just stunning as we were running out of time to go as far as we wanted for pictures. Cliffs are magnificent and we lucked out and had sunshine the entire day!! Make sure and go to bathroom before you start trip as no facilities on bus.
Me and my friend Crystal really enjoyed this tour! From start to finish our tour guide Dave and driver Marshall were great! Dave provided the tour group with a lot of Irish history! If anyone asks me if this is a great tour I would tell them don’t hesitate just go on it!
Excellent tour guide and bus driver. Pretty much the right length of time. Lunch options in Galway were excellent.
Tour guide was young and energetic but spent more time talking about the origin of Irish terms and drinking establishments than the history of what we were touring and preparing us on what we were about to view. Disappointed.
Have used Viator in the past with no problem. This time, agent provided incorrect information about hotel pickup causing us to miss the tour. Worst part was that Viator denied its fault, doubting our side of the story. Will never use them again.
The Cliffs of Moher were amazing and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful day. The time allotted was good. The trip along the wild Atlantic way and brief stop at the Burren was a nice little break on the way to Galway. We definitely would have liked more time in Galway but due to the length of time to get back to Dublin we understood why it wasn’t longer. Our driver John did a great job maneuvering the bus through the narrow streets. Aisling was very knowledgeable.
This was a fun day. We had 2 hours at the cliffs which I found sufficient. The drive was gorgeous and the tour guide was engaging and funny in her storytelling and general tour-guiding. I would have liked longer in Galway. under two hours was not nearly enough time. I barely had time to eat and buy a sweater. The bus was comfortable and had USB outlets for phone charging. The bus was completely packed and I prefer the very front but I respected the "reserved" sign even though the seats were not actually reserved and others took those seats. Sit on the left side of the bus for the best views.
I enjoyed the whole trip. I was just a little confused about the Wild Atlantic Way. I wasn't sure if we stopped there. I don't think we did or if it was just a photo OP. I don't remember him mentioning it but besides that it was fantastic.
The tour was an incredible experience! Well worth it and great especially if you are only in Ireland for a short period of time and want to explore other places. Love our tour guide for the bus.
Cliffs of Moher is definitely worht a visit and Galway is a charming city worth a stop but bus rides are some 6-7h so be prepared for half day in the bus at least
Gorgeous place to visit. A must do for anyone going to Ireland. Guide really didnt put a great deal of effort into the it though. Gave some useful information but generally it was pretty limited. Went on another tour the day before with the same company, different guide though and it was fantastic. Couldnt have asked for anything better on that day.
Sean and Anthony were fantastic. Weather was iffy but the tour guides did everything to make it great! 10/10 would see Dermitt the time-telling horse again. Would strongly recommend
We did this trip as we have many days in Dublin and it's on the must to do list. I am glad we did. We were lucky with the weather , it was sunny most of the day. The tour guide was very professional from the beginning to the end. We get to see different part of Ireland and hear some histroies and stories about Ireland from the guide. really recommanded.
We had such a fabulous time on our tour with Murphy and Richard. Murphy kept us laughing and entertained the entire journey, while Richard kept us safe. Both extremely knowledgeable and informative. They truly made our experience a memorable one. Highly recommend you request them when booking this tour. They will not disappoint!
