Discover all aspects of the history of the River Liffey and of Dublin city itself, from the first arrival of the Vikings 1000 years ago, to the rapid development of the city during the 18th and 19th Centuries to become a major European capital, and of the subsequent decline and more recent redevelopment of Dublin's Docklands.
You will learn the story behind the iconic Ha'penny bridge as well as Gandon's masterpiece, the majestic Custom House. You will follow the story of Dublin's Royal and Grand Canals and see where Oliver Cromwell landed in 1649. You'll also hear how Captain William Bligh surveyed Dublin Bay in 1800. Learn of how much of present day Dublin now sits on reclaimed land, including Trinity College and the Spire in O'Connell Street.

It was very warm outside and the boat was so hot. Tour was not very informative and didnt go very far.
This was amazing!! well worth it.. one of my favorite Dublin memories .. less than an hr.. but packed full of so much history and info!
the Dublin liffey river cruise , is a good tour to do if you have got a spare hour while in Dublin , the boat goes down the liffey river to the harbour then back up again , during the tour the on board guide tells you about all the famous buildings that you pass and there history I found the tour to be very interesting , but very hard to take photos because you are very low down the departure point is very easy to find
