Private Day Tour to Leshan Giant Buddha & Huanglongxi Ancient Town

After breakfast, meet your guide at your hotel. Picked up by your private vehicle with air condition and set out for Leshan city (2.5 hrs drive / 1 stop in the middle). The Giant Buddha was started in 713 AD and finished in 803 AD during Tang Dynasty, and is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site in 1996. The height is 71 meters (233 feet) and it is the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. Upon arrival, guide will lead you enter the park and climb up through 300 stairs to the top where you can get a close picture of the Buddha’s face. You can even imitate touching the Buddha’s ear and nose in a distant view to have a funny picture. Then descend via cliff side zigzag stairway down to the foot of the Buddha and find how big the toe nail is. Wuyou Temple on the other side of the mountain is also available for a visit.(3 hrs in Buddha park) You’ll have delicious lunch in a local restaurant.(included)

After lunch Head to the Huanglongxi Ancient town (1.5 hrs drive).Huanglongxi is a historic Chinese town located about 50 km from Chengdu. It is named after the Huanglong River which flows through it.The town is over 1,700 years old, and has been restored to retain its rustic charm, with ancient cobbled streets, temples, and wharves and houses along its curving alleys.The majority of the buildings in Huanglongxi date back from the Qing Dynasty. The town features a number of temples and some of the well known ones. Wander around and return to Chengdu when the excursion finishes.(2 hrs in ancient town)
