Great way to see Bruges if you only have a little time. Max the guide was knowledgeable, ensured the pace was good and all had fun, Gave us some good tips on what we could see/do on our own.. The nice looking cobblestone streets were not so nice on the feet. Maybe a break for coffee/beer at some point might allow time to rest and take in the sights
This 7 hr tour was totally disrupted by young undisciplined children. I complained to the guide but there really wasnt much he could do. A little one 4 yrs old climbed on statues...was loud and disruptive. This kept up all day....on the way back on the train the air conditioning didnt work in the 40 celcius day and this childand his 5 yr old brother continuosly ran up and down the isle screeching loudly chasing each other. I finally yelled at them to go see mommy...thats when daddy finally made them sit down..which resulted in crying the rest of the way.
Our tour guide James Campbell was excellent. He made sure no one was left behind and always did a head count. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour with him.
Great day with a talented local tour guide. Beautiful city; educated and funny tour guide. Highly recommend! Great value!
My tour guide was a lovely Irishman named James, who was perfect for the experience. He gave us the perfect amount of detail throughout the tour, and provided a great environment to learn about the city's history and culture.
We had a lovely time with James our tour guide. He was extremely informative and made our experience in Bruge unforgettable.
We love our trip to Bruges. Our tour guide Max is very accommodating, kind and knowledgeable! We’re a group of 10 , my three boys and their cousins have a lots Of questions and Max made this trip interesting for them.
We met our guide in brussels and from the moment he asked us to follow him to the train it was a search and find mission. He was not a tall man. No umbrells or flag or defining thing to see him above the crowds to follow him. He had a navy hat that blended in with all of the other tourists and then halfway through took it off so he was even more unidentifiable. We had no audio equipment so if you weren't close by you didn't hear what he was saying. And it was difficult at times to catch up to him. The 7 hour tour (including transportation) ended up only giving us 1 hour of free time to eat and see things we wanted on our own. Not the best.
Tony was an absolutely perfect guide to this charming, historic, treasure of a city. I'd go back again in a minute. Happy to answer questions, knowledgeable, and entertaining. It was a hugely crowded day, and whenever possible he navigated around the crowds, yet hit major sites.
I took the day trip to Bruges by train 1 h 10 min. and was very happy with this choice. It was Saturday, so I did not return to Brussels with the guide walking tour concluded at 2 p.m., but much later. Especially since there are trains connecting Bruges to Brussels every half hour, until 11 p.m. The British-Belgian guide was great and gave us a two hour very informative walking tour. The city is small and absolutely lovely, well worth a visit. The entire event was very well organized, in English only, and with some 15-20 tourists at most - which also made it very pleasant.
The trip to Bruges was quite good. It is a beautiful village worth visiting. The guide was entertaining and told us the relevant stories and took us to the important sites as well. However, I am reducing what would have been a 5* rating if the trip had not been so rushed. The trip was 6 hours from the time the trip started from the reporting location at 9.30am to the time we reached back to Brussels Station 3.30pm. The tour was advertised as 7 hours (approx). Cutting down an hour was not a good action. We did not have any time in Bruges to visit the Bruges Zot Beer Museum or take a Boat ride, as the lunch break given of 1 hour could not enable us to explore Bruges much on our own. The option of staying back and returning on our own later by train is a poor compromise when the trip itself should have been an hour longer. Tourists may not want to find their own way back from the City center to the Bruges train station.
