Rundfahrt Camargue und Les Saintes Maries de la Mer ab Avignon

Our guide, Terry, did everything to make this a great tour. We not only stopped at the Bird reserve and Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, but he extended the trip 30 minutes to travel to an amazing fortress, Aigues Mortes from the 11th century. He also stopped for white horse photos and gave us a sunset stop at the Rhone with a great view of Avignon.

Totally disappointing tour. The horses aren't wild - the bulls are in a pasture - and the flamingos while able to come and go - are a roadside attraction. Go to a zoo if you want to see animals. The town of Les Saintes Maries was shut down from some sort of festival that left the area dirty and unpleasant. The Church was even closed and that was suppose to be the highlight of the tour. Viator you should remove this tour - totally worthless and waste of time.

We enjoyed our trip. The ornithological park was a great place for bird watchers. We would have enjoyed more time there. Les Saintes Maries de la Mer was also very interesting, but a bit commercial. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the stops to see the wild horses and the bulls. This doesn't need to be a nine hour tour, but it would benefit from being longer than 5 hours.

This your was excellent. It is a part of France I has never seen. The landscape so different from Provance, yet so close. Emanuele was charming funny and informed. The bird park was super cool. You are right next to the flamingos. Sainted Maries du Mer was like being on Spain!

This tour was a waste of time and money and we are extremely disappointed. The communication was poor from the driver and also the company. We specifically requested two car seats at booking and were told we would be picked up at 0830. The driver turned up at 0800 without any car seats. According to him the tour started at 0800 irrespective of what the booking confirmation/company said. We then had to return to the depot to get car seats although the driver didn't seem to particularly care about driving a 5 year old without a car seat - despite the law and speeding on the way home. In total it ended up taking almost 2 hours to get to Saintes Maries de la Mer. We then only had around 35 minutes to look at the town not much to see and 5 minutes on the beach. At the bird park we were told we only had 40 minutes to look around. We were back in Avignon around 1310. We saw and did nothing that could not have been done by public transport for around 50 euro 30 euro for the bird park compared with the 280 euro it cost for the family on this tour.

We were just the two of us with Connie. She is knowledgeable, organized and charming. We had choices of what to do and time lines.

The tour is a great way to get a taste of the Carmargue and the French coast, especially if you are not confident to drive in France. We had about an hour of free time in the ornothogical park to see the flamingoes, herons and eegrets and about an hour to explore Saintes Marie. We were collected from outside our hotel and the vehicle was very comfortable and air conditioned. The guide was excellent she was very knowledgeable and told us all about the region. She went out of her way to try to show us everything that this region had to offer and to try to find photo opportunities for us.

Great tour, well paced, excellent guide. Saw everything that we went to see - white horses, flamingoes, egrets, herons, bulls, and a kind of muskrat thrown in for good measure.
