As this was our first trip to Auckland, what better way to go around the city than engaging with the Hop-On Hop-Off bus! The drivers, the bus operators at the focal points (Viaduct Harbor, Sky Tower, etc.) - all of them were so informative and helpful! The buses arrive in 30-minute intervals, so there are plenty of time for you to visit each stop as long as you make sure that you're aware of the last bus timing (4.30pm on the red tour at the Auckland Museum, the bus driver will always take the initiative to inform you if you need to change buses, or remain on the bus itself). We initially took the 48H pass, which automatically gives you a free ferry pass to Devonport (please do not pass this one up, as the quaint village was so beautiful and worthwhile to visit!). You must ensure that you get the bus tickets from the operators first at the focal points before you can obtain the free pass at the ferry terminal. We ended up booking another set of the 48H pass as we wanted to be sure not to miss any of the attractions listed in their tour. All in all, this is definitely a great way to get familiarized with this beautiful city! Highly recommended!
It was a bery exciting and cheap way of seeing the major tourist spots of aucland where you don’t have to hurry up, we enjoyed the 2 day trip. Drivers bery accomodating and we enjoyed seating in front of the double decker bus.
The Hop On Hop Off bus is the best way to see any city, wherever in the world you go. This one was excellent buses were regular and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the Devonport Ferry was a lovely bonus.
Was great, although might be nice if the driver stopped at some of the stops, when safe, for just enough time to hop off and take a photo or two, before they took off, saving you from having to wait for next bus, just to catch a quick photo.
I get to see many places conveniently. I have the freedom to spend as much time as I want in the places I love, and skip those I dont want to see.
Convenient and it runs on time .It includes the ferry ticket to Devonport . A bit walking up to Mt Victoria. Nice scenery . Very good value.
Nice trip... I enjoy very much.. Good experience.... ThankyTha for great tour. ....,..................
Great overview of the city. There is pre-recorded information about each stop. Due to our own time constraints, we only got off the bus at Mt. Eden which is an old volcano crater. I'd recommend it to get a higher elevation view of Auckland. Only complaint would be that for some reason the blue buses used a really offensive deodorizer that will bother anyone with allergies. The red buses didn't use this deodorizer.
