Bay of Islands & Hole in the Rock Cruise - Full Day Tour

Best full day tour out of Auckland traveling north to the beautiful Bay of Islands. You'll enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Islands, located in the North, surrounded by 144 smaller islands. Relax and enjoy the sunny Northland in one day. Enjoy some free time browsing the seaside township of Paihia. Afterwards, you will board your catamaran for a relaxing cruise to the famous Hole-in-the-Rock. On board, you will enjoy spotting the many types of marine and bird life, dolphins, penguins, and whales. You will return to Auckland in the evening on board a luxury tour coach. Travel north out of the city over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Then, travel towards Whangarei, New Zealands northernmost city. En route (if time permits), a stop will be made at the Parry Kauri Park to view a magnificent cluster of native Kauri Trees. In the morning, a stop for tea will be made at Kaiwaka (own expense.) Upon arrival at the Bay of Islands, you will have some free time to explore Paihia - a popular vacation destination for travelers. Then, board a high-speed catamaran for a cruise to the famous Cape Brett Hole-in-the-Rock on Piercy Island. Along the way, travel by some of the 144 islands that make up the Bay of Islands. The Cape Brett Hole-in-the-Rock is large enough for the boat to sail through (subject to weather conditions) and is also rich in marine life. Whales, dolphins, and hundreds of seabirds diving into huge schools of fish are common sights during the trip. In addition to these fabulous sights, enjoy an informative commentary about the history of the bays many islands. After the trip, we will re-board the luxury coach for our trip back to Auckland, arriving at approximately 8:10 pm.
