Day 1: Auckland to Hahei

Meet the group and head south east stopping at the famous Cathedral Cove.Drive to the unique Hot Water Beach and dig up your own personal spa pool in the sand (tide dependent).

Day 2: Free Day in Hahei

Today you have a full free day to embrace the laid back Coromandel lifestyle. Get up early to catch the sunrise on the beach or take a guided boat tour through the cliffs and caves of the nearby marine reserve.

Day 3: Hahei to Rotorua

Visit Hobbiton or explore geothermal wonderlands today as we travel through the Waikato region to Rotorua.

Day 4: Rotorua

Enjoy a free day to discover an area rich in Maori heritage and adrenaline activities. You can even opt for a day tour to Waitomo or White Island.

Day 5: Rotorua to Lake Aniwhenua

The morning is free to try one of the many adventure activities on offer in Rotorua, before we depart at midday to drive into the remote area of Lake Aniwhenua. A local Maori guide will share the area’s history and lead us to visit the area’s sacred archaeological sites. Prepare a hangi feast, learn traditional stick games and visit the local community

Day 6: Lake Aniwhenua to Blue Duck Station

After breakfast we depart and head to Taupo to see the mighty Huka Falls, and for the brave we have time for skydiving! In the afternoon, we make our way to Blue Duck Station, an award-winning 7,200 acre high country farm that is both a working station and an environmental conservation leader.

Day 7: Free day at Blue Duck Station

Today you have a free day to explore this truly amazing and secluded location in depth. The included 4WD farm tour will give you a tantalising taste of life in remote, rural New Zealand. There are plenty of other optional farming and conservation-based activities for you to experience around the property as well.

Day 8: Blue Duck Station to Raetihi

Today you get a chance to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Be prepared for some epic scenery as you walk around the base of “Mt Doom” from the Lord of the Rings films.

Day 9: Raetihi to Wellington

Today we head to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Discover the New Zealand wonders on display in Te Papa Museum or stroll along the waterfront.

Day 10: Wellington to Auckland

Today is an express journey from Wellington to Auckland. We stop along the way for photos and to have lunch in National Park.

Tour pricing is based on quad share (except at Whakahoro which is 6 share). Twin or Single tour packages are available, however these upgrades do not apply to Hahei where accommodation is quad share.

Travel Insurance: Not included with this tour. It is strongly recommend that passengers have their own insurance to cover against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and inability to travel on the confirmed departure date
Luggage is limited to one bag or suitcase per person (maximum weight of 15kgs), plus one day pack to carry onboard with your valuables. The carriage of any excess of oversized luggage is at Stray's discretion and must be approved prior to travel.
